feverhas taken over Toronto.
CP24 chopper stalking the Airport and reporters trying to identify the occupants of the suv headed downtown. This is some crazy shit going on. Toronto behaving like dem crazy exex. I hope Kawhi brings an end to this masquerade before the day is over so the other two crazy exes can move on.

#KawhiWatch
Dead Wid Laff.
Dis is tew much.
In reply to JahJah
Jeebus Christ! In me born life i neva see nuttin like dis. The crowd in front of Hazleton growing steadily. Never seen fans behave like this in Toronto for any athlete or entertainer.
If Kawhi or his reps announces he be signing with Clippers or LA, there will be a riot in Toronto.
Ah see exactly one black person in that clip waiting outside Hazelton Hotel for Kawhi
In reply to imusic
Certain people in Toronto got jobs bro. No time to stalk celebrities or line up at Apple store for 2 days for the new iPhone or camp out at Jurassic Park for days before the games?
In reply to Hellraiser
Obsession with Kawhi is an understatement.
In reply to imusic
Big joke, I walked through that crowd yesterday. Was just trying to get to an appointment an had no idea Kawhi was back in town or people were stalking him. Saw all the cameras and thought someone was setting up for some sort of movie shoot
but let me tell ya man was reallll people up there just standing around looking lawless and dotish
In reply to Dan_De_Lyan
Smart move by the Knicks. Instead of Kawhi screwing up 2 teams he would have been screwing up 3.
Clearly Kawhi prefers not to return to Toronto.
Toronto should have moved on while the other big guns were still available.
In reply to Hellraiser
Drake making his pitch for Kawhi with a tattoo of Kawai on his chest does not help the situation. Kawai is not the bosom buddy kinka guy.
In reply to Hellraiser
Which FAs could have been lured to the squad while Kawhi's still in limbo, though?
In reply to Hellraiser
and you think the other big guns were considering Toronto?
Is Kawhi or rebuild buddy
In reply to JahJah
is that Kawha Kawha Kawha Kawha?
In reply to XFactor
Drake attempts so far have been pathetic. The methods he used and is using would only work on a rookie who would be enamored with the glam life.
Kawhi came to Toronto and looked like a being in captivity at his first press conference. He did what he wanted to do during his year of banishment in Toronto which was to prove he is even better than before and prep himself for free agency. What Toronto is offering is only being used as the negotiating fodder in talks with the Lakers and Clippers.
All the shit show yesterday was just to courteously tell Masai thanks but no thanks.
In reply to Tryangle
Good question. The relationship between Kawhi and Toronto was built on trust . at least that's what all the pundits are saying. So if he scheduled a meeting with them on Wednesday why would they go after other FA's before that date? If it doesn't pan out their way then it's plan B for the Raptors which is rebuilding ...
In reply to Tryangle/defeyeant
Raptors made no attempts. Butler, Middleton and even Bogdanovic were all available but no effort was made. If you show no interest your can't get a response. Raptors got no assets to trade either.
Even with cap space remaining, there is no FA of note to available.
In reply to Kay
Assuming that relationship was built on trust, isn't Kawhi betraying that trust now?
If that is plan b then it is an embarrassing one. NBA defending champs rebuilding?
Well all see how it turns out shortly. Hope some people love nyammin crow
Kawhi or rebuild defy? This from the Raps squad that went 17-5 without Kawhi in the regular season?
Raps would still make the playoffs even without Kawhi. Unlikely they would win the title without him though.
Of all the FAs out there, the one I coveted most for the Raps was J.J. Redick. A true sharpshooter and a premium defender. I like Danny Green but I would swap him for J.J. in. Heartbeat.
The other FA I liked for the Raps was Brogdon from Milwaukee.
Both now off the table tho so......moving on.....
Of the FAs left, it might be worth looking at bringing back Delon Wright. I dont think the Rapsnwere happy in parting with him in the first place. He knows the system. He fits in the team culture. He can flat out ball. Why not?
In reply to imusic
JJ Redick was a steal for the Pelicans who will create some space for Zion Williamson to operate. The Pelicans are off the playoffs next year.
In reply to imusic
Not Boogie? Not after he called TO fans trash and looked slower dan molasses without the ability to jump over an ant. But then is not big men needed, right?
In reply to JahJah
If we already have Gasol, Boogie is surplus to requirements.
That said......a healthy and motivated Boogie is an improvement on an aging MG
Commie always coveted Boogie for his Celtics.....maybe hell belatedly get his wish
In reply to imusic
I still maintain Kawhi or rebuild is the Raptors mindset. Yea team can still be up there in terms of wins but Masai want titles and willing to gamble for them as proven by the KAwhi for Derozen move. Dont see repeating as an option without Kawhi or a similar top tier superstar so Masai would trade Gasol and the other fellas with contracts expiring next year and get some young guys to build with alongside Vanvleet and Siakim
In reply to imusic
Can we resign Delon though, thought there were some rules regarding players that get traded away resigning with old teams
In reply to imusic
Reddick came to mind for me as well.
I think the Raptors would still be a quality EC squad if Kawhi moved on (and who knows, one of the young guys could emerge or Siakam could really explode) so it's not like they're on the brink of irrelevancy.
In reply to Tryangle
Wow!Kawhi and Paul George to the Clippers. With Beverley signing back it gives them three elite defenders in their starting rotation. What a wild free agent season this has been. I was hoping he would sign back with the Raptors and try to defend his crown, but i guess the pull of returning home was to strong.
In reply to imusic
Hope some people love nyammin crow
No crow for me bro.
Looked out at the horizon of Toronto this morning and saw desolation and desperation.
It will be interesting to see Masai's response now. Don't think he will hit the reset button.
In reply to imusic
My condolences
Kawhi gone to Clippers
Danny Green to Lakers
That's 2 starters to replace
1st round exit next season, and that's if...
In reply to JahJah
I know a certain guy who has displayed unbridled hate for Canada on this board, is currently experiencing orgasmic joy while reading this news.
It wont surprise me if Masai works that Nigerian voodoo and unveils James Harden in Toronto.
However, with the current roster, the Raptors still posses playoff pedigree. That will evaporate if Masai hit the reset button and trade Lowry, Ibaka and Gasol.
On the plus side- tickets to Raptors games next season will be cheaper.
We got our championship. Thanks for the memoroies Kawhi, have fun at home. Toronto now has to rethink its approach
All these fu#king @sshole sports journalists and sports talk show hosts getting paid a whole set of money to talk rasshole shite and make horrible predictions.
Then they tell you that it's a 99% certainty he'll end up here, end up there, but none of them had him going to the Clippers.
In fact, that donkey Skip Bayless was the only one who said that the pull, persuasiveness, and influence Jerry West has, cannot be underestimated. That, and the deep pockets of Steve Ballmer.
Kawhi was fu#king with these clowns the entire time.
I'm disappointed that he's leaving Toronto, but i would've lost a lot of respect for him had he joined the Lakers. I said all along that I have no problem if he left for the Clippers.
Hard to expect a man who lives in California to move to Toronto for the next few years. He lives in San Diego, I've been there twice, it's one of my favourite places in the world. Probably #1 if I'm being honest.
In reply to defeyeant
That's it. No reason to be bitter. He put his body on the line for that chip. Now, who replaces him in the line up is the question.
In reply to JahJah
there's no one left on the market this year
you got your 1 chip
It is surprising that Kawhi left Toronto, it is just a beautiful place, but I guess he wants to be at home, good luck to him there, he will be playing with a good coach.
.................and the lakers panicked and signed Danny Green for $30M. Great chess move by Danny Green positioning himself to be the rebound pickup after Kawhi shunned the Lakers.
This was the guy who replicated CJ Miles in the Raptors playoff run. Same guy who panicked and made an impossible pass to Siakam that almost cost the Raps game 6.
and on the surface I am saying
Thank you Kawhi
Thank you for the memories
Toronto will always be indebted to you.
Good move going home to the Clippers
Congratulations to the Clippers.
deep down inside all I think is:
F@#K you Kawai, YOU UNGRATEFUL SOB. Now we got paint over all those f^&#ing murals dedicated to you. We changing that statue and dedicating to Lowry now. We want back our F@#king key to our city....and finally f@#k you again.
In reply to Hellraiser
Budding Toronto-born Canadian (Antiguan) Shai Gilgeous-Alexander part of the deal. He's leaving the Clippers for OKC to play with Russell WestBRICK!
In reply to Hellraiser
F@#K you Kawai, YOU UNGRATEFUL SOB. Now we got paint over all those f^&#ing murals dedicated to you. We changing that statue and dedicating to Lowry now. We want back our F@#king key to our city....and finally f@#k you again.
Sounding like Skip Bayliss aka Skip Baseless aka Skip Graceless.
In reply to doosra
Let's count the teams that can't even say that.
In reply to JahJah
Bro, two weeks ago it was Carlos Brathwaite
now its Kawhi who had forked up the weekend.
Saturdays is not my day of the week anymore.
In reply to Devin
Even before the decision became official,a friend was making your points about how clueless these talking heads are who like to come across as authorities and know absolutely Jack regarding what free agents are going to do. They are certainly good for comic relief.
In reply to dayne
No one in their right mind would choose to live in Toronto or any part of Canada over the state of California.
San Diego, where he resides, is absolutely gorgeous, 365 days of the year. It's also a great place to raise a family. And the traffic is 1/10th of what you have to deal with in Toronto.
In reply to NYCGURU
I don't know if they are doing it for ratings, but it's really quite embarrassing. In a profession where credibility is your lifeline, many of these jokers have none.
Stephen A. Smith is another idiot that gets on my last damn nerve. Shouting like a fu#king idiot from morning till night, and making one stupid prediction after another. And he rarely gets anything right. He took a beating on social media during the NFL season because he constantly kept referring to certain players as being x-factors in upcoming games, meanwhile the players were either playing for different teams or were out for weeks/months with injury.
Clearly he wasn't doing any research or homework.
Someone has never driven in LA before.
In reply to Hellraiser
Easy come, easy go.
In reply to dayne
This again? The man left to go to the Clippers...
Kudos to Kawhi for wanting to compete....He has his eyes set on the God of some here...about to displace him in LA...Kawhi is a boss!
Thank you for restoring faith in competition Kawhi!
In reply to Ayenmol
Yuh just couldn't resist
Just remember that the Raps sold the Giannis kryptonite to all the other coaches. Dat gonna turn yuh smile upside down when the 2019/2020 season start.
In reply to JahJah
He lives in San Diego, not LA.
In reply to Devin
I know that, but The Clippers aren't in San Diego.
Clowns acting like people have to give back the trophy!
Do your thing, Klaw. Your new team/organisation, which has been around since 1970, has never made it to a conference final. I expect you to take them there and beyond.
Further cement that legacy.
Side note: The team, when it was known as the Buffalo Braves, played home games in Toronto.
In reply to JahJah
Clippers getting their 1 next ?
In reply to JahJah
A couple hours drive. He's home, where he wanted to be.
In reply to Devin
Good for him. No one is cussing him. Relax.
But back to someone who has a never driven in LA before...you know their traffic is world famous, right?
It's ranked among the worst in the world.
Yeah, the weather here sucks (like it does in NYC and Boston). If you didn't grow up in it, the excitement/appreciation of seeing snow for the first time (like those African kids they showed on TV this year) wears off pretty quickly...when -10 and -20 lick yu bumbo. lol
However please forgive me for finding that traffic part of your argument hilarious, considering...
In reply to doosra
Perhaps, but baby steps. He's for 4 years plus to do it. He's home.
Reaching a conference for the first time in their 50 year history would be the first goal.
That final would be sweet if it were against the Lakers. Can't wait.
Did Ayemdunce like Quinn Cook? He has left GSW.
So that's KD, Iggy, Cook gone from there. Boogie still in limbo?
WEll, they still have dirty player Draymond, I guess.
In reply to JahJah
Karma is a B though. It is all part of the business I guess but the team traded DeRozen who was loyal to the team and loved them for a rental who brought a ring. Then got on the horn and orchestrated leaving to form a super team. Wham, bam thank you ma'am.
Every fan is different but I would hate him. I certainly did not like him for that last year in San An.
In reply to nick2020
Karma?? Dude, before he came everyone knew he wasn't going to stay. He wanted to go home. Nobody with sense is going to hate him for that.
The karma will manifest if DeRozan wins a ring with Spurs.
In reply to nick2020
Some would say that it was KD who got hit by karma.
Westbrook and Paul George to Toronto?
What di France!
In reply to JahJah
He got too much out of that for me to say true karma but yea I stopped liking the GSW when he joined.
I get this is hyperbole for emphasis but the city sure did a lot of wooing post ring if everyone knew he was not going to stay. Right?
In reply to nick2020
What did he get that was too much?
Well they knew he was going and we were desperate to have him stay. Did you any of those people seem confident about the situation? When did begging someone to stay show any level of confidence?
In reply to JahJah
He will only have to deal with that LA traffic on game days. He can spend a good amount of his time and the season in beautiful San Diego.
If he lives in Toronto, he will have to deal with that traffic all the time. This place is extremely depressing in the winter time as well.
Like I said, unless it's due to extenuating circumstances, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who'd rather live in Canada over California. Florida as well.
What is all this talk about horning, DeRozan, loyalty, etc etc? You all do remember that DeRozan was MIA the last time he was in the playoffs for Toronto? When he wasn't MIA, he was shitting up all over the court.
In reply to Devin
...and practice, unless they train in San Diego.
But how is this different from any other player playing various cities?
Can he not live in Mississauga or any of the other myriad of places in the GTA without having to live Downtown Toronto?
You had me at California. Florida??? LOL!!!!!! That backwoods, hickish, budding KKK state dressed up like the Will Smith video and CSI Miami episodes? lol Why? Coz it warm and the swamp lands were being offloaded for cheap?
PS: I think you may mean anyone who are well off. Various people look for different things when choosing somewhere to live.
PPS: LeBron couldn't convince anyone of note to come to Cleveland, while in their prime. And it's rare to find anyone of Afro descent who relishes (even though they do it for the fame and money) going to live in Baaast'n. Best believe in that DiCaprio quote from The Departed.
Is there any other cold ass destination, aside from big market New York, that players flock to?
Anyway, let's hail Danny Green for hustling the LA Lakers out of 15 mill per year.
As they say...
Datz Gangsta!
I mean...Danny...Green.
DISCLAIMER: He may very well improve.
In reply to JahJah
not alot left in the market
LA gotta spend that 32 quick
In reply to doosra
They're giving Quinn Cook from GSW 6 mil per year. 6 years younger than 32 year old Danny too. I guess he needs to prove himself some more.
In reply to JahJah
cook
green
you think they might go after the Cousins too
In reply to doosra
So I hearing. His name being thrown around. Maybe Cheeks could expound.
In reply to JahJah
NYTIMES just posted something
In reply to doosra
See it deh. Lakers ah try a ting with role players, journey men and hobbled warriors to support AD and King James. Meh we see how dat pan out nuh.
In reply to doosra
Stop the Press. We got Stanley Johnson!
Stanley, Stanley Johnson, y'all!!!
In reply to JahJah
best wishes
In reply to doosra
Drafted 8th overall in 2015 at age 19. D Russell was number 2. Maybe he should have stayed in college and develop more.
And all these years, Stan the man hasn't averaged 9 or more all now.
But hey, they claim he is known for defense.
In reply to doosra
Doh laugh though. Kevon Looney (same draft class) of the GSW averages less playing more minutes (due to the system probably) though a better % shooter by some distance.
Intangibles!
In reply to doosra
Wait, is it true Paul George cheated on Doc Rivers' daughter with a stripper, and had a love child with said stripper?
DWL!
Now he gotta coach him?
Welcome to Holly-wood-ings!
In reply to JahJah
Paul bringing a ring
it will be a different sort of marriage
In reply to JahJah
Kevon Looney looks like he is a bounce away from something, everytime
In reply to doosra
The stripper
What outfit should she wear to dinner with the Rivers family?
This one is always a favourite
In reply to JahJah
not gonna get anywhere close to Doc;s dinner
In reply to doosra
Team dinner is going to be a sausage fest then?
LAL vs LAC for the West finals? Are you calling it?
Or Denver to upset the apple cart? Or shall we wait 40 games into the season?
In reply to JahJah
i don't see Denver up there yet
LAC with a great chance, i really don't know how those LAL bits and pieces will hold up
Can Boogie stay fit? Can King James?
Do not rule out GSW yet, not yet
In reply to doosra
Oh no, I ruling them out...unless Stephie learns to play defense.
No Iggy. No Boogie. Dirty Dray Day may get his comeuppance. Looney...meh. Livingston? He gone? Cook is. No KD goes without saying. Klay? We shall see when he comes back.
Stephie and D'Angelo. Am I missing anyone?
In reply to doosra
Smaddy did said that this will be Bron and Boogie if LAL start off 3 and 13
I don't believe so.
I'll give it to 22 and 29
In reply to JahJah
they say Dray Dray will get more touch
expect plenty triples
actually, with Klay out for most of it i now can't see them getting to the finals
LAL/LAC is a real possibility
In reply to NYCGURU
I love the notion of a Beverley/George/Kawhi backcourt. Mercy that's beastly.
In reply to Tryangle
Yes. Expect opposing scorers to get frustrated.
Expect more of this sort of thing
In reply to doosra
eye balls or nut balls?
Raps will be ok. Will still make the playoffs as a top 5 team in the east.
Spicy P will have an even better year, OG will have an excellent year and Raps have been developing players very well out of the 905.
The next big signing by the Raps will be the greek freak in 2 yrs. He likes Toronto which has the largest Greek community outside of Greece and he has a vey good relationship with Masai.
Raps are going to be as good as they were pre Kawhi...end of story!
If Kawhi, who had it made there, decided to leave...am not sure what else there is to discuss.
In reply to Ayenmol
How sweet it is!
No more rings...it's ova...beaten down twice by his contemporaries...make it three times...San Antonio with the VI massive and Kawhi...Steph, with and without KD...(won't include the Celtics, his growing pain)now Kawhi about to take Staples from he!
I see he already put it out there that he saving his body to play with his son....excuse done made!
Bwhaaaahhahahahahaahahaaaaaaa....Dude actually wanted to recruit arguably the other 2 best players in the League to play with him....guaranteed Championships....no Competition.
Now we have a real mano ah mano showdown.
If Kawhi brings 3 Championships to the Clippers....and i don't see why he could'nt, dude is only 28!....He will go down as the best bball player of this generation!
And there's another saying: Copycats are the only true originals.
Soft-spoken, quiet, seemingly innocent Kawhi stole the concept that LeBron practically invented and used it against him.
"LeBron got totally outmaneuvered," a Western Conference executive told Bleacher Report. "They beat him at his own game."
He will ave 5 rings... dare i say he will legitimately have an argument to be in the convo with MJ...
That is a guy in the mental mode of the old greats...ready to beat his rivals on the Court, not team up with them to beat lesser competition.
In reply to Ayenmol
As good as pre kawhi meaning as good as with DD?
In reply to doosra
With the added experience of winning the Championship (*)?
Yes. What did they win with DE Rozan?
They are not going to win anything....maybe ever again unless a transcendent star is transitioning and is sent to Siberia for a year by an unfavorable front office.
Just reality.
Had Kawhi gone to Lakers there would be no intriguing matchups to look forward to...now?
Lakers/Clippers.
Lakers/Warriors.
Clippers/Warriors.
Warriors/Blazers
Clippers/Blazers
Lakers/Blazers
Utah/Blazers
Utah/Warriors
Utah/Lakers
Plus the Rockets, Mavs and Pelicans...The Nuggets, how they rebound, are they able to compete with the Star laden teams?
In the East....A one trick Bucks vs Celtics and Brooklyn and an oft injured 6ers team...an afterthought!
And the mediocre watch for Raptors...familiar territory.
In reply to JahJah
Well again if everyone knew he was going the city spent too much time and money on a lost cause.
But I think everyone knows that know one knew for sure he was going to leave.
I cannot say Karma hit KD because he got rings and finals MVPs out of it. He could retire happily accomplished. Karma is mean and wouldn't let that happen.
I hope it all turns out for you in the end. That you do not end up as bad as the Knicks. For as long.
In reply to nick2020
What money?
And Toronto got a championship (Probably half or more of the league can't say the same) and made tons of money in the process (merch etc etc).
So my point stands. If this is karma, the same can be said of the KD injury to a lesser extent.
Karma would have been a first round exit. Not a chip.
In reply to Ayenmol
Probably not the Pelicans just yet, but don't sleep on the Kings who've been on the rise of late. But yes the West should be fun next season.
If I was a betting man I'd say Bucks or Sixers in the East, with lurking teams being the Raptors, Celtics, Pacers (Oladipo returns). The Nets are a year away unless science goes nuts with KD. Hoping my Magic can unlock Fultz's potential and get them into the mix.
Just read that Kawhi's signing a two year deal with a year tacked on or something?
So for the Clippers, it's all in or bust as they sent a truckload of picks away to get Kawhi and George.
In reply to Tryangle
I believe I read that George will be a free agent the same time as Kawhi.
In reply to JahJah
which makes 2021 huge with both of them plus Giannis plus Gobert plus Blake Griffin all potentially on the market at the same time.
In reply to Tryangle
Trump will be out of office and will use his billions to get all of them and start his own team. He'll be allowed to break the rules to achieve the feat.
In reply to JahJah
What do you think happens to the Raps now?
In reply to nick2020
They hope Siakam improves even more, and steps into that 'best player on the team' role that DD, and then KL, had...and hope to finish 4th in the East.
They were 17-5 without KL last season, but they had someone who is now missing - Green.
We shall see how things go.
In reply to nick2020
They hope people forget that they only have a Championship because the Spurs refused to give one of the best players in the League what he wanted....and the Finals were mired by in jury to 2 of their opponent's best players...
The fact that they are not even in the discussion after losing Kawhi, says it all!
LOL
Injury to Love and PG gave Warriors their 2015 title. Injury to Kawhi and CP3 their other two, some would say. Yes, let us 'forget'.
Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda.
TITLE! (Hobbled Kawhi, Injured Lowry, and no OG, a top class defender, due to injury).
PS: Raptors never even made it to the ECF before Kawhi appeared. Never knocking on the door before the. Yes let us 'forget'.
Oh wait...
LOL
So a Super team missed the guy they said they don't need and loses the title because of it.
Not so super after all.
Someone needs to brush up on super team...but then again...they immediate protruded excuse making without noting the facts speaks for itself...
Facts are facts....as they return to mediocrity, the dismissal of their borrowed win will become more pronounced..
As they say....watch the ride!
In reply to Ayenmol
Super Team that 'bats deep' could not beat a team of 1. In fact they lost 4-2. No game 7 needed against a 1 man team?
That's shocking.
Not so super after all. Maybe it was just the Kawhiptonite.
Now it's about Kawhi apparently...kawhi will win two or three Championships in LA...that will be his legacy and the Clippers will be remembered because a team needs at least 2 to be relevant...back to back ... and three straight to be mentioned as a power.
No one even remembers Cleveland...it's just another win for Lebron and the individual players have something to highlight their career
Not even kawhi is gonna bring this one up when he has 4...noting the lack of competition.
A distant memory with no hope for another in 2 years time.
Basketball history cannot be written without Steph, klay and Draymond...Durant will be a note...because he'll have just two with a team that got one without him...and he would have gotten mutton without them.
Toronto will be a bleep in Kawhi's legacy.
In reply to JahJah
It does work in your favour that the West is a gauntlet leaving the East with few big teams. Celts aren't getting better so it is the Bucks and 76ers Conference.
Siakam could turn out to be an all star level talent or a good player. But I think you have the same issue the small market teams have - Free Agency.
NBA needs to fix this. Hard cap is the first step.
In reply to nick2020
Your inability to reason and make sense of reality strikes again.
You cannot put toothpaste back into the bottle...this will NEVER happen!
In reply to Ayenmol
No one remembers Cleveland eh. lol
Who are you speaking for? In fact, who di phuck is you?
Basketball history can be written without mentioning that a team outside the USA won the title. Not only won it but beat a deep star studded dynasty.
Yeah, sure...keep telling yourself that. lol
In reply to Ayenmol
Championships arent guaranteed. and the game isnt played on paper. Kawhi could win another 3 or he could be done winning championships. Even so the Toronto championship will be remembered
In reply to defeyeant
Can you name, of the top of your head, the team's that won one championship in the last 20 years?
In reply to JahJah
Lookie here...the moron already doing what I said will happen, except in his deluded way.
You are already proving my point exc eff put this will be remembered into perpetuity as beating an injury laden team...
Lol...you want to claim it does not matter then use a falsehood to claim the magnitude of your win...you won because their team DID NOT have their stats...not what you said above....
Now run along you idiot!
In reply to Ayenmol
Dallas, Toronto, Cleveland, Boston and Detroit.
In reply to Ayemdunce
1 man plus journey men and a dude that learned to play basketball at age 17, after giving up his dream of being a priest, beat a dynasty missing ONE player! A player they said they didn't need to win.
DEAL WITH IT
In reply to defeyeant
Let me answer that for you...you remember the Lakers, Spurs, Heat, Warriors, Bulls and Celtics....most of them...more than 20 years...most people have to think hard to get the Rockets...and why? Because that is when Jordan left for two years and it is mentioned often as an aside to whether Jordan could won eight!
In reply to JahJah
I have no idea where he was going with that. What a fool.
In reply to Ayenmol
Since you challenged my sensibilities I have a question:
How do you know the things people remember? Omniscience?
In reply to JahJah
Man that Detroit team was fun. 5 guys who were all quality, but were taking on Shaq and Kobe PLUS two HoFers.
Really cool to see that Pistons team humble the Lakers back then.
In reply to Ayenmol
tough one, so 1999 onward? on no cheating
99 Spurs
Lakers
Lakers
Lakers
Spurs
2004 Pistons
Heat, Boston and LA and Spurs mix up in middle here
then
Dallas (beat Heat)
Heat
Heat
Spurs
Warriors
Cavs
Warriors
Warriors
Raptors
In reply to nick2020
Um...it may be a bit of a surprise to you...but I do not mean people individually...but people as a whole...when you think in general and are talking generally about Championships...when is the last time tlyou thought of the Mavs?
Most people if you bring up Detroit will think first about Isaiah before recalling the malace in the palace teams.
I know you think small and not big picture...so am not surprised you can't see past the choice of words...
So Raptors beat a team that had injury issues. They aint the first or last. As someone else said remember Warriors beat Lebron when Love and Kyrie was out injured to win too.
In reply to defeyeant
Warriors win three championships
...they were questioned when they won then...and they won with a drafted team...
In reply to Ayenmol
they draft Igoudala who was MVP of the first championship cause that is news to me?
In reply to defeyeant
Igoudala? Man please...MVP's or not...igoudala?
In reply to Ayenmol
Was or was not Iggy a vital part of the first Warriors win? Was or was not Iggy drafted by the Warriors?
Above you said the Warriors won with a drafted team (as if trading for other players somehow diminishes a title). How come none of these drafted players won the finals MVP in none of the three championships?
In reply to defeyeant
He's never had an intelligent answer to these questions, which were posed to him in the past.
In reply to Ayenmol
So you do not know if people individually remember the one ring teams in the last 20 years but you do know people as a whole do not? And to illustrate your point you are asking me the individual if I remember?
JahJah why do you bother?
