BRAVO-WITH INDIAN LEADER TO ENTER TT MARKET

Emir 2019-07-04 14:39:59

Good plan Bravo, I do hope this new industry takes off, it will certainly help TT with their negative balance of payments while providing jobs and helping young women.

Best Wishes

During the discussion, Bravo said many schoolgirls in T&T do not show up for classes during their periods, adding that awareness on menstrual hygiene was much-needed there.

Alyuh sure in T&T he talking bout...in 2019?

Nah, that happens a lot in the sub continent, Asia and Africa. I think Bravo was misquoted about it happening in the region. We nipped that problem in the 60's.

TT is a modern country...I think Brava was easily conned by a slick Indian salesman.

It is a distribution and convenience business whereas in India it was designed to solve a different problem-which was lack of access that had a detrimental impact on young ladies.

I don't think this business would do well in T&T...we have local company doing this for a while now 'Perfit',and they always evolving their product to keep abreast with the foreign ones..and just from picking up pads from a young fella for my mom and then for various ladies along the way I can tell you no pad remains the same and Trini women know about wings flaps and gels etc in thier pads and always looking for the new ones...

Kinda like introducing kerosene stoves all over again and saying kids not coming to school because they not getting meals, wrong market..we have school feeding program for that..long gone are the days of rolled up toilet paper improvs.

Not sure it will do well here,Trini women lil funny with they nicks..

bravos 2019-07-05 14:14:21

And guess who's family owns Perfit and was at the forefront of the venture ?

An ex-T&T/ regional cricketer around Lara time..

A red man..

Unless they going all out with ISO standards a serious marketing campaign and similar standards and features of common Western offerings it won't be too appealing to the local market, and so far the approach aint sounding too appealing..

Hearing about some machine bravo bringing ain't the right way to go about this very sensitive sector.

He should go with more flexible products he could put his face name and hard wearing masculinity on and really promote with one liners like 'Bravo Block','Bravo Briefs' or 'Champion Cereal' etc, only his name would give him the edge over another readily available or even superior products, and the equipment costs are similar or even less, block machines and roof sheet machines etc are giving away in Asia .

Good luck to him though,he may get some market share who knows..
