Concacaf Gold Cup Finals

Us had at least one great chance...Altidor missed wide...
What is this red doing?
Still amazed how often a basketball player can hit an 18 inch rim from 60 ft out.
Yet how often a football player misses a 192 square foot goal from 60 feet!
Would have been intolerable had the US won two football Championships in one day....phew.

It is angle they kick the ball at and spot on ball?
Congrats to Mexico, they deserve the win,

Watch that team, excellent ball handling skills. Pizarro might conquer many again

I understand that. As well as the accuracy of using your hands for what they were designed as opposed to your feet for something it really was not designed for...but it is still interesting.
I wonder when man is going to evolve to use their feet like their arms...or at least soccer players and their offspring...
In reply to Ayenmol
have many viral videos on social media of humans without arms using feet dexterously.
In reply to Runs
Why haven't they taken over football then?
Also...would you give up your hands to gain dexterity in your legs?
In reply to Ayenmol
The goalkeeper cut down his angle perfectly.

this man is an excellent coach, last world cup Mexico tried to run over everyone and played with no poise and their tactics weren't varied. You can start to see the difference already.

Sweet win for Mexico
Americans were ticked off at the presentation ceremony. Like they just wanted to go home and be done with it.
I have noticed the Caribbean teams improvement, and most surprising was little Curacao. The rest Haiti,Guyana,Jamaica and Martinique although they(Martinique)didn't get to GC,all did well enough,Jamaica beating Honduras and Panama very pleasing.

Every CFU team except T&T will have positives to take away from the GoldCup, that's encouraging with Nations League starting up in the fall.

You noticed? They thought they would just run over Mexico like they did to Jamaica in the first half. But instead they were offered a lesson in humility. Whether they learnt or not is another matter.
I was so glad to see that little hurry-come-up captain McKennie get such a thorough whipping.

I tend to agree, he seemed to have a bit of entitlement in him.
Honestly, I thought the US was going to win the match because they start energetically. Of course Altidore turning into Altidore with only the keeper to beat helped Mexico out.
Kind of surprised the US chose Chicago to host the final, thought they'd have tried a base where they'd have a bigger home field edge (assuming they made the final) like Columbus or Seattle. Guess the ticket $ tilted it in Chi-town's favour.

was watching the game with my son and told him I don't like McKennie, he could not understand.

McKennie need a good lesson in humility. He is NOT that good - until Pusilic "make him look like him good". And that Pusilic fellah is the only serious player in the US team methinks nowadays, followed by an aging Bradley and Altidore (he is running out of time).
It was a good win for Mexico after they took over and manhandled the US team with possession - but they started poorly, and USA failed to capitalize early on 2 occasions (MEX dodged 2 bullets there. Eventually was happy to see Dos Santos (MEX) playing like he can - and scored a beauty.
BUT the highlights of that game was the really "piss-poor" refereeing. He was awful - and to note he did not seemingly have a special side he was favoring. There were several brutal fouls that deserved a YELLOW or two!!
In reply to np
You got that right! It is beyond appalling that he never pulled the yellow in so many instances.
