So they ended up exactly where one would have predicted: Above Afghanistan, but below everyone else.
Worryingly, the gap with Bangladesh only seems to be growing.

West Indies had the tag 'Dark Horses'. So yea. They did underperform. They never gelled as a unit. People got carrired away with Russell's IPL exploits and Gayle's England series exploits. Also youngsters like Hetmyer are still in learning phase. They failed to capitalize on few crunch moments.
