NZ gave a clinic in what can happen

When you bat as the conditions demand, and ensure u get through u 50 overs, no big hits necessary.

Then u field out of u skins..it really can be such a simple game sometimes

Its the culture of Kiwis and Aussies. They play smarter cricket than the rest with a never die attitude.

Why bat through 50 overs when you can eat up dot balls, hit a few big ones over the boundary and be all out with overs to spare?

Which team does that?

A team full of "stars" who show up just before the WC starts while the "plebs" are engaged in a triangular tournament as preparation for said WC?

Are you the same person who keeps going on about S Hope SR?
I pointed out that in S Hope first 25 odis WI got bowled out 9 times and were 9 down another 5 or 6 times.
So yes I do agree batting 50 overs is important, not playing T20 cricket in an ODI

Then u field out of u skins.

I think the CWI whole management team agrees with you on that, but how can that be achieved with Nurse, Gayle and Gabriel on the field and now we are adding Cornwall. You have youngsters like Hetty and Pooran dropping simple catches.

I only pointed out Shais SR to those touting him as the next Virat or Joe Root, everyone was busy jizzing on themselves because of his average.

I was just introducing some reality to the argument, the batsmen with comparable averages innings' result in victories because of among other things a superior SR.

That's all I was saying, but people were busy defending the blue and yellow instead of listening to what I was saying.

He can't bat at that 60 something SR, shepherd the team to loss after loss and be hailed as the great Bajan Hope lol

I think it was an astute observation by the proff

Both teams played on a morning wicket ...on two different days.

I am not so sure NZ would have triumphed if the match was played uninterrupted

Maybe all ODI matches should be played over two days to negate the advantage of the toss lol

Both teams bat under same conditions lol
