It cannot be OUT/NOT OUT depending...
In reply to doosra
Indeed. It leaves a gaping hole for a tiefing umpire to tief.

Precisely! Couldn't have said it better

Is Hawkeye 100% accurate?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
you are missing the point, i think
In reply to doosra
The trouble is, if hawk eye isn't 100 per cent accurate, how can you overturn a marginal decision?
Human eye vs hawk eye, neither is 100 per cent accurate

Preach! Doors does play the ass
India stonewalled DRs for years for the very same reason..
In reply to Khaga
I don't think stonewalling DRS was a good idea either.
Drs, in its present form, is merely a way to get rid of howlers. Marginal decisions will continue to stand, unless hawk eye becomes 100 per cent accurate

Agree

Any suggestions in how to fix it Doosie?
In reply to RonaldM
i have stated over and over
let it be one, or the other
not both, depending on who
if marginal is out, it is out, if it is not out, it is not out
In reply to doosra
That's what happens, doesn't it?
If it's marginal, the on field decision stays. If marginal is out, it's out. If it's not out, it's not out
In reply to doosra
Alright, I could live with that, though it takes away some leverage from the umps.
In reply to brians_da_best
no, that is not what happens
what happens is if the umpire calls it, and it is marginal, it is umpires call
if umpire doesn't call it, it stays
that to me is inconsistent
make a decision, one way or the other, and stick with it
In reply to doosra
Yes, so they do that.
The umpire makes a decision, and they stick to it if it's marginal.
Neither human eye nor hawk eye are 100 per cent accurate
