I think it's now wide open after India and Australia's exits.

An argument could be made for Roy, Root, even Stokes, depending on how the final goes. If Ferguson or Boult has a dream final maybe one of them could sneak in.

Fair enough, basically because Kane, Root, Jofra and others have continued to play well, it eliminates any chance of Shakib sneaking into the mix despite his total brilliance.

I think there was a tournament when the Man of the Tournament was decided by total MotM points (5-3-1 score?) throughout all fixtures? That would be interesting to have in place.

I said usually. 1999 was klusener. Imo should have gone to McGrath. 2003 was tendy. Fair selection. 2007 was McGrath. Fair. 2011 yuvi. 2015 was baz I think. Not sure or was it starc?

I will give it to root or kane depends on who wins it.

Rohit Sharma will probably get it. Scoring 5 100s is no mean feat, it's never been done before
