So 4 years back

England set out to revamp their odi set-up after the 2015 debacle. And that was some revamp! They're now in the finals.

West Indies, meanwhile, let's it's world cup players play the IPL, 2 weeks before the world cup, and send another team to play in Ireland in an odd series.

That's the difference, right there

critical thinking is not the forte of these Caribbean men . . . Morgan and the drunkard allrounder were happy in the IPL and are happy now ...
confused

Did Jofra Archer play in the IPL?

Why is it Archer has improved as a player versus those who were chosen over him for the U19 World Cup?

Before this stupid thread grows further

Did they have an international series 2 weeks before the world cup!

The English regularly cut short their IPL seasons for national duty

I was wondering.

These folks act as if West Indies cricket was doing great before T20.

I propose that if it was not for IPL West Indies cricket would be in an even worst position.

It would have been better if the CWI picked the IPL players first because they were in form and practicing daily whilst the local players were not.
Each country's IPL players performed while some of ours were overlooked. The biasness, idiocy and no forethought is still rife withing the collective CWI brains.
So come next international tournament and we will be still hovering around 9th.

The structure needs to be changed as well as the critical thinking and mindset of the administrators. Jimmy Adams being with Kent one would think some changes would be implemted quickly but he it seems is already caught up in the WI backward thinking syndrome.

It should be noted that the IPL cricketets that did well at the WC also play test and ODIs for their Respective countries.
