I for one will welcome him back.
After all, the man has gracefully served his punishment for that ill-advised verbal diarrhea bout at the WC finals podium.

Sammy shouldn't have been removed in the first place. Rectification of injustice does not have a time limit. Sammy was the best t20 skipper in the caribbean after Ganga and pollard.

You cannot (should not) compare Sammy and Gayle. Love him or hate him Sammy captained West Indies to two T20 cups. Gayle cannot boast the same. If he is in form consideration should be made...

However, his place in the side became more questionable with each passing game.

..says he would accept any opportunity to LEAD the team into next years World T20 in Australia in October.
What, Viv is unavailable?
I am sure that, even at 67, he would score more runs, bowl more overs, spin the toss and clap just as lustily!
Such a sense of entitlement!
Sammy must really think this is a joke business, or that his homeboys H&H (with their water boy, Cameron) still run things !

his worth as skipper was priceless. For the first 3 years of holder's captaincy, he didn't warrant a place on the team. I did not hear you then

Recent captains, re Sammy a good to great Captain who has served us well. However there were always questions about him making the team on merit. If one has to honest those questions are even more prominent now.
One poster above said something about verbal diarrhea. You sir are a product of massa. The purists and lovers of West Indies cricket, would have welcomed those statements. He should not have been removed. It was clear that there was dis enchantment throughout the team in those years. This is seems in the main reason for Cameron bing removed.
Holder as a player he may make the team on merit.Strategy is his weak point.Should he be captain of the T20 team, maybe not.
Carlos, consistency is a problem on his day a dynamic batsman and a more containing bowler. Merits a place on the team, Strategy lukewarm.

the if implies that it is not my question to answer. How else would he get in form? It's totally up to him...

Welcome back Sammy! Don't mind the naysayers and detractors! History says you are the first Captain since Lloyd to lead us to two World Cups...Looking for three!
Word on da street is that the People and most of the players want Sammy back! A good CPL will get him back into the TEAM.
