When they disregarded Archer?

Yes, he is Bajan, but that is where the BCA skuntery behaviour comes into play.

Kirk Edwards can attest to what I am writing.

Pettiness.

It's safe to say he did the land of his birth a favour.....

sgtdjones 2019-07-14 00:27:08

Why can't we leave the kid alone and wish him well.

Isn't such the Caribbean way, or do we become petty?

sigh....

Are you sure you'd have picked Archer ahead of Mindley and the rest in 2014? Do you know how he looked in comparison to the competition? Selection is not an easy business and it is quite possible the others were ahead of Archer at the time. Good for him that redeveloped to where he is today but leaving him out might have been a reasonable decision at the time

Halliwell 2019-07-14 08:56:19

Suppose he wasn’t good enough to make the side?
Suppose he progressed with better infrastructure?

Why can't people leave Archer alone and wish him well..... I'll tell you why....if he was from another location in the Caribbean he would be celebrated...he would be told to eat a food.....he is from Barbados and he is going to be cussed and criticized to hell and back no matter what......the fuckers in this place will find something to 'ragg' him about, the latest thing is the national anthem...you think these fuckers easy..but the young man got to live and he got to eat food too.....

smile I had to think for a few seconds before I got that one. I have no idea who were the U19 selectors back in 2014 but it is fashionable nowadays to blame Browne for everything smile

You might've hit the nail on the head, cherri.

The players from the eat a food territories would've have had that 2nd chance that Archer had, so the peeps them jealous.

Which are the "eat a food" territories?

That is the biggest mistake in the history of WI cricket, how could they have missed such a talent?

doosra 2019-07-14 13:21:19

when will some of you appreciate the development he benefited from in England

spider 2019-07-14 18:40:27

Are you sure you'd have included Archer at the time were you a selector?

nitro 2019-07-14 18:44:39

Obviously these West Indian selectors do not have an eye for talent. I heard Michael Holding was picked by the great Lloyd off just potential.

Agreed, the selectors have got it wrong for 2 decades cool

sgtdjones 2019-07-14 18:56:48

The young man did well
There should be no critical thread of him anymore.
we had him and threw him away.

Let's wish him well, he chose what was best
for himself. It was great choice.

Goodluck in the future Archer

cool
