I hardly watch tennis, but the few times I have watched Serena play she makes too many unforced errors for someone who has been in the game for so long. But I applaud her accomplishments.

That has always been her game. Tennis used to be a sport of variety because some people would be baseliners, some all courters and other serve and volleyers.
Now the majority are slugging it out from the baseline. The way to beat Serena is to move her around (like anyone else really as it is more difficult to hit the ball on the run) and neutralize her power game. Far easier typed than executed.
