Serena: Even in defeat, can't help making News
Casper

That's what people like Devin can't do anything about such.
She's just the GOAT and GOATs every word is news; what Devin says is just trollin'
Serena delivers words with the kind of positive impact, the Dotard in the Whitehouse could only dream of.
And when she made the following comment, it struck me and came across with more impact than her defeat.
After Serena Williams shocking loss in Saturdays Wimbledon final, a reporter had an equally surprising question for Serena:
There have been a few comments made in the last couple of weeks from people like Billie Jean King that maybe you should stop being a celebrity for a year and stop fighting for equality and just focus on tennis. How do you respond to that?
Without questioning the role of King, a renowned womens rights advocate, in the premise of the question, Serena produced her best shot of the day:
Well, the day I stop fighting for equality and for people that look like you and me will be the day Im in my grave.
Those words will stand the test of time long after Serena's defeat is forgotten and even longer than Simona Halep's victory is remembered.

Great words and I hope she is being true to them.
Now retire and leave the sport.

Like Devin, you just don't want her to be the GOAT with most Slams.

Why? On the men's side Federer is lauded for remaining in contention for Grand Slam titles at his age. Why should it be any different for Serena?

Nitro is just a troll par excellence. I don't think he believes half of what he posts in this forum. In the Back Room? Well that's a different matter.

You may not believe it but I loved Serena when she just came on the scene. I was happy to see a black girl whipping the white girls especially when little Martina was beaten so badly she was crying. You could hear the hurt in the white commentator voice.
I was proud because of the history of people looking down on the ability of people who look like me and here we had someone excelling in what was considered a white sport.
Over the years though Serena has acted like a bully and a bitch and all those reports of her dodging drugs testers. I am sorry but she did her thing, time to move on.

Here
The Deadspin report also highlighted the fact that Williams appears to have been tested a disproportionate amount of times in 2018, having already given five samples to Usada before this latest visit which occurred at 8.30am on June 14 while most other American tennis players had been tested only once or not at all

She is being tested more frequently now because of her history. I am not speaking of 2018.
Probably her fall in performance is due to the fact she cant risk the juice now.

.
Different sport and different mental application.
There has to be a point when performances start to slow, some athletes (see Chris Gayle) use different techniques to counter the aging process.
Some athletes play less, some rely more on their strengths, some try different techniques but all will eventually succumb to the aging process.

What new technique Chris Gayle use.
You mean he still performs now and again with poor technique. He is a mystery.

Boy, this is when I know you have taken more than your share of the Kool-Aid -
you start spreading "Fake News"
Deadspin reported the testing officer had arrived at Williams' home at 8.30 a.m. local time, and had refused to leave until Williams had been tested. He eventually departed without a sample.
The website published the story after receiving a tip from someone who it says overheard phone conversations by Women's Tennis Association (WTA) CEO, Steve Simon, in an airport.
USADA would not confirm specifics of the matter, citing athlete confidentiality.
"Its unfortunate that an athletes right to confidentiality and privacy was leaked by a third-party," USADA spokesperson Brad Horn said to Reuters in a written response to a series of questions.
"For fairness to athletes and their privacy, public disclosure of test missions are not made public, unless a stated time requires such notification."
Horn did, however, say that Williams had been tested on three occasions this year, for a total of five tests.
USADA can request a blood and/or a urine test, which means that on two occasions Williams was tested for both.
Horn said Williams passed all tests.
Williams spokesperson Bush Novak referred Reuters to a statement previously issued to Deadspin, which said in part:
"Over her 23-year career in tennis, Serena Williams has never tested positive for any illegal substance despite being tested significantly more than other professional tennis players, both male and female in fact, four times more frequently than her peers...
"While she willingly continues to submit to testing, there is absolutely no reason for this kind of invasive and targeted treatment."
The WTA did not respond to a request for comment.
Williams, winner of 23 grand slam titles, has returned to competition this year from maternity leave.

Serena said this after she was questioned about a report by Deadspin saying shes been tested 5 times in 2018, more than any other US tennis player.
Serena responded, saying, Just test everyone equally.
While shes okay with being tested, she said shell like to see a more equal testing system, rather than just one person being centred on.
Im totally OK with testing and I encourage it.
Its just about being equal and not centering one person out.
she wants equality in drug testing,

I see now why Obama was such a wimp-you can't please haters- they even accuse you of taking drugs or being born in Kenya. They are waiting on you to spew their stereotypes. Actually Arthur Ashe writes about this approach- the honourable quiet one . . . He hated it . . .
