This planet is so screwed up because

black 2019-07-15 14:48:43

humans think they own it.

This planet belongs to all species, from the smallest organisms to whales in the sea. Native people around the world practice conservatism by only taking what they needed, respecting and worshipping animals in some cases.

Then, came the White man and everyone was for taking as much as they can, animals and environment be damned.

The world has changed, all countries are now responsible.

We Humans lack the ability to regulate ourselves, animals produce offsprings based on available resources, humans take and worry about the consequences, later.

So it is not okay for me to be a chauvinist but it is okay for you to be racist?

What a world we live in.

what I find so odd is given you are a cricket historian you would figure you would appreciate all civilizations at the top conquered the weaker ones. Including your ancestors.

Why does the US continue to undermine intl attempts at tackling the issue, in Paris recently and the Japanese conference before that?

The US is the leader of the globe, with one swipe of the pen they can stop global warming.

If they would use all of that clout and power for good (instead of punishing Cubans etc), this would be a non-issue in a decade or two.

List of most-polluted cities by particulate matter concentration
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to navigationJump to search
This list contains the top 500 cities by PM2.5 annual mean concentration measurement as documented by the World Health Organization covering the period from 2008 to 2017. The 2018 version of the WHO database contains results of ambient (outdoor) air pollution monitoring from almost 2700 towns and cities in 91 countries. Air quality in the database is represented by the annual mean concentration of particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5, i.e. particles smaller than 10 or 2.5 micrometers, respectively).[1][2][3]

I got it maj, western countries now used technology to combat climate change, it does not mean that they did not contribute to the pollution.

I remember when places like New York and New Jersey were extremely polluted. People were dumping barrels of chemicals on vacant lands and now you boy Trump want to go back to those days of less regulations.

Problems are not fixed because you dont have smog,

The US releases more greenhouse gas per capita than any other country, they are second to china on total per year. They are by far,far the largest contributor to greenhouse emission in the industrial age which is why china is always reluctant to curb emission because they have only recently industrialized

Ok I should have said working on it.

Per capital yes, but China is number one overall and almost double that of the US.

You need to consult your Bible... assuming you own one.

Somewhere in there it is written than God put man as rulers over all things earthly. Maybe not in as many words, but something close.

And that is exactly why we are in the predicament we are in now.

Some people still believe that shit, they say that it's impossible for humans to destroy the planet because God (not man) put it here.

It is impossible to destroy the planet without destroying ourselves.

Chernobyl is now tourist attraction. The planet is very resilient and is able to decontaminate itself.

The planet seems to defy the impossible.
Burn fields down and it grows back. Life thrives in the Artic. It is impossible to destroy all life on earth.

The vast majority of scientists are saying we need to change our consumption habits and here you are talking about the planet decontaminating itself. I think it's hard to decontaminate when the danger is coming from above in the ozone layers.

Science dude...

Man cannot destroy the planet unless you find some ways of melting he crust and evaporating the atmosphere.

Like I said, humans may destroy themselves, but other forms of life will thrive.
