While sipping my morning's tea, I took the time to access the link.
The woman was absolutely right. Why would she be 'comfortable' going alone to that establishment where she would stand out like a sore thumb? She had every right to preserve her safety.
Looks like she had no issue going out escorted by her date.
I don't know about that....definitely racial...racist? I would not be opposed to getting to know someone like that.
We have a young, petite, very good looking female friend you would be amazed the places she is scared to go alone....even Walmart!
There are certain places in the US that I would not go...neighborhoods, not just establishments.
Does that make me racist? You have to be smart.
Regardless of your Race, if you do not know who you dealing with and there is a certain trepidation, then you are careful.
The fact that she is willing to date a black man and meet him there for the first time says caution, not hate.
There was a time, Black folks were suspicious of any White person in a Black area or neighborhood.
It still happens
In fact Black folks were it as a badge of honor....stay away from us and ours....
Quit being so sensitive.
I know Black folks who are reticent to go to African centric establishments....latino establishments....Asian establishments.
People feel uncomfortable going to places they stand out like a sore thumb.

People hear things about others and become scared about putting themselves in certain situations.
If he had asked her for a date and she said no...he would acuse her of the same...she is willing to go out with him.
In fact most guys who like someone of another race would ask for a chance if the woman was reticent.
There are Blacks who would rather date their own for various reasons, then a White man may like them and have to work to break down whatever barrier.

The Bible says...Bad associations spoil useful habits....
I know, you dont believe in the Bible...
But the wisdom there is that if you hang out with people that are different from you, for better or worse it is going to affect you.
Racism is a learned behavior. The reason Whites wanted segregation and taught their sons and daughters to shun Blacks were to ensure their children learned to dislike and hate a people they wanted to keep oppressed.
The more these young Whites associated with Blacks, the more they saw few differences.
You dont help racial equality by shunning people...you aid it.
If he had taken the woman to that establishment, or at least find out why she held that view, then fine....even if you chose to move on...but I won't jump to racism there...and what his sister is doing is ridiculous.

The truth is simple....you dope.
If you start a business and a rival spreads lies about your work ethic, honesty etc. You can pay thousands of dollars buying ad space and trying to convince the Public.
Or you can go to a couple trusted people in the neighborhood...give them a discount and do great work...
That person or persons then talk to another and another....before you know it. The myth is cruhshed.
This woman is now going to tell her friends how she once had a date with a certain person who got so upset about just a small reservation she opened up to him about, he got enraged his sister posted their conversation on Social media and she drove 3 hrs for nothing....so a few people are gonna be like...one small mistake and my whole life could be turned upside down?....

Let me divert from the thread a little to put something into perspective.
Ray started a thread admitting that he can see how Hitler got his rise...he's right...the road to hell is paved with good intentions...
This man, whether he succeeds, and to what extent the American people allows it, is to be seen but this person is on the same path...
All people of nonWhite race who excuse his behavior for any personal preservation reason, are like Jews in Germany who for whatever reason thought initially that Hitler's stance gave them a perceived advantage before all hell broke loose.
Dont think for a moment that was not the case.
