With all the mass shootings......

black 2019-08-18 14:53:06

have you changed your habits as far as shopping in large malls and congregating in large crowds, etc?

One unintended consequence is probably the hasten demise of brick and mortars.

To be honest, I don't even think about it but I hardly shopped in big malls, anyway.

Good POINT.

Actually, I developed an allergy to malls and stores.
A result of failed attempt to condition this dog in a previous life.

I go to Macy's, park at their back door, walk in to the mens dept on the ground floor and quickly collect some bucktas and singlets and walk straight out.

The guys in the suit dept knw me for 30 years so I don't need coupons, they give me their employee discounts if I need suits, pants or shirts which theyhelp me pick out!!

Life is that simple. smile

Maan, I am the real man.

"The small man is the real man."

Macy's is nothing special.
I used to live next door to White Flint Mall where the first lady and other celebrities shopped.
Some other people also felt they were first ladies to go to the "dear merchant" place.

Nah, I just don't like malls, or shopping, period!
I used the example of Macy's to illustrate that it has to be a place I am very familiar with, can just walk in one door and find the items I want right there without going up a floor or walking through a crazy mall.

I personally like to smell and feel my fresh tropical fruits and vegetables before I commit. Now I have the time to do that and it is not cold out there.

I am scared of on line shopping, probably out of sheer ignorance.

As much as I dislike shopping malls, shopping online for clothes is not an option for me.

Dislike might be too strong a word, I just don't like spending a lot of time in malls.

First thing one should do upon getting married, let her go shopping alone!
Don't set a bad precedence by going with her. Otherwise yuh dead, dead. Done for life!
Then again, she might end up doing a different type of shopping. razz

Imagine, holding 4-5 shopping bags, waiting and waiting in the mall for 4-5 hrs whilst she shops!!
You are lucky if you find a bench to sit.

Large shopping malls will be a thing of the past in the next 10 years. Young people, except for teen age girls, between the age of 18 - 35 are leading the on-line shopping revolution.

I have a nephew who is 24 years old and he said cannot remember ever being in a shopping mall.

The video game generation is pretty weird, they don't watch much TV and they don't care to drive and own their own homes.

The environment and charitable causes are their main concern, which are good causes.

I think they are going to bring changes to gun laws when they take over.
