Why did they pick Campbell in the WI A squad
In reply to anthonyp
So they can prove solozano doesnt belong
Duh
In reply to anthonyp
Part of WI players development is to "Learn from the bench"...
In reply to runout
Maybe because he playing in the first test?
In reply to natty_forever
If this is true then it is very, very, silly for him not to have match practice...especially since he was fetching water in the ODI's.
In reply to runout
Very strange how Campbell is being handled. Don't be surprised if he misses the First Test as it seems
they want Brooks to play in any role.
In reply to hubert
You can tell he doesn't have a godfather in the mix looking out for him.
The guy is a positive cricketer, and looks promising.
In reply to runout
And silly is not something CWI does?
In reply to runout
He doesn't look all that promising to me but I would be surprised if he is fit and doesn't play in the first test.

nor I. if you fail to convert 50s into 100s at the FC level, how you going do it at the higher level. Too many force ripe players being sheppard in. We should have stuck with the so called "Stars" until we had developed better replacements. I doubt it is hard, we just have to look to India, England and Australia to learn.
Archer says we have talent!
In reply to spider
Bro...whilst still early days...he averages mid 30's in tests and close to 50 in ODI.
If that ain't promising, then I don't know what all-that promising means.
Yeah, allyuh talk nah!
In reply to runout
Well he has a first-class record and very few players do better at Test level than they do at the lower level. I just think he makes too many poor decisions while batting to make good runs consistently. He hardly gives the impression of being in control whenever I see him bat and I've seen him bat a number of times at first-class level. I'd be happy to be wrong.
In reply to spider
I am with you bro...just that his record, albeit brief, is promising.
And I hope that his 1st class average belies his talent.
This guy had promise at an early age...he played in the 2010 U-19 WC. Tells you that he was rather young and promising at 16 years then.
In reply to runout
That's why he would continue to play A team until he ups that average, for me.
In reply to natty_forever
Agreed. However, he don't get a look in on the A-team.
This is wrong.
In reply to anthonyp
Is Campbell possibly injured or ill? Would not make senses otherwise
In reply to runout
I thought Campbell was injured for some of the A team games, however Campbell still have to work on his game, so far his batting looks more foutunate than convincing
In reply to Logic
Anything CWI do does make sense?
Campbell will partner Kraigg for the first test.. Only two openers in the test squad.
They did the same thing to him earlier in the year.. picked to play a warm up match against England and he didn't get any batting there either..
If they had no intention of playing him then he should be in the training camp with the other test players.. not sitting and watch people like Mohammed and Carter bat
In reply to anthonyp
You make too much sense!
In reply to anthonyp
Exactly!
