Tridents should be scared
TKR’s Munro says if team finds best form…

TRINBAGO Knight Riders (TKR) top order batsman Colin Munro, said Barbados Tridents need to be wary if the TT franchise hit their straps in qualifier two (semifinals), of the 2019 Hero Caribbean Premier League, at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy, in Tarouba, at 7 pm tonight.

Tonight is a virtual semi-final, as the winner will advance to play the unbeaten Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final at 5 pm, on Saturday, at the same venue. Both TKR and Tridents will have their eyes on the weather as TT is currently under an adverse weather alert because of an Inter Tropical Convergence Zone. Rain is expected to affect TT until 6 pm, today. The Tridents will qualify for the finals if the match is washed out because it finished higher than TKR in the preliminaries. Tridents finished second and TKR ended fourth.

The Tridents lost its first opportunity to advance to the final, after falling by 30 runs to the Amazon Warriors at Providence Stadium, Guyana in qualifier one, on Sunday.

The Tridents will be a confident bunch heading into tonight’s contest, after defeating TKR both times the teams faced off during the preliminary stage.

Pollard: Playoff win ideal boost for TKR

Trinbago Knight Riders captain Kieron Pollard believes their crucial win in last Sunday’s Hero Caribbean Premier League playoff match against the St Kitts/Nevis Patriots could be the turning point for his side as they head into tomorrow’s massive semi-final against archrivals Barbados Tridents.

The two-time reigning champions entered the contest against the Patriots on the back of four straight defeats and without a victory in six matches but managed to break the losing streak by chasing down 126 to win by six wickets at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence.

“I’m hoping this can be the turnaround. We have a couple of days [rest], we go back in front of our home crowd and that will spur us on even more,” said Pollard, looking ahead to the encounter at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba.

“There is always room for improvement – [there were] a couple of blemishes in the field [so] that is something we need to speak about. Every run and every boundary saved is crucial for us, so that is something we will have a conversation about.”

Come on guys...stay out of the name calling business. It is petulant, unnecessary, uncouth and uncalled for.

That said, someone should get Munro a "From-finder" for Christmas! lol lol

Sarge...it wouldn't have been so bad if you didn't talk about beat-dung...catching us in T-dot. Calling we bridesmaid etc. lol lol lol

Here's a lil secret bro...you ain't attending this wedding, so you don't even have a chance at being bridesmaid. And the wedding happening on your front lawn. The biggest party in sport. I would feel kinda, sorta... lol lol lol

But you are a good sport bro. Makes this board fun! Thank you!
