Guyana is looking more and more hopeless by the day.
This morning 5 people were killed when a police vehicle smashed head-on into a civilian's.
In reply to maj

In reply to doosra
And I'm still less likely to be murdered..per capita in shithole countries you will be more likely to be robbed or murdered.
In reply to maj

That shithead has NO moral compass ..much like his god.
He values the almighty dollar over all. He has no respect for basic human decency.
I pray that caribbean society never DEVOLVES into shooting up of innocent school kids.

Sickening

Ahhhhhh and it smells so good. Suckas for life..people getting murdered and robbed in shithole Guyana by Army personnel for decades and Trump is the cause.
Great attempt at deflection..meanwhile police in Guyana are being used by a dictator to remove black protest flags.
What a shithole you idiots are defending.
In reply to maj
read that to yourself quietly and hear how it sounds
In reply to doosra
I'll take the US any day over whichever shithole you are from.

The more he talks about shithole countries, the more he's describing Murica.

In silly season many 'news' outlets jump to publish stories without the necessary fact checking. The dead GDF soldier was not involved in the robbery. He was in an altercation with someone.

Stabroek and Kaieteur both reported the GDF bannas was involved.
The retraction that the GDF was not involved in the robbery but was killed in another unrelated dispute makes me wonder if there is damage control taking place. It does not look good when members of the armed forces are actually caught robbing.
members of the armed forces on a hustle too
Why do Caribbean publications show the deceased like that?
In reply to Curtis
Not debating that members of the armed forces are involved in crime. That is fact. However the pronouncement on this particular one was done without any fact to support claim.
A young black male involved in a crime and 'may' have been shot. Hrs later a young black male is found dead with a gunshot wound. Doesn't mean he was involved in the incident. Even his clothes are different.
Could be damage control or it could not. But I still believe in innocent until proven guilty.

In Barbados, they would do the same. Leave the body there in the open for all to see. I don't know if they changed it by now.
Another thing that I usually shake my head in disgust is when attending a funeral and some ignorant people taking pictures of the dead in a casket.
Even in death, there is no dignity.
In T.O, the police would throw a blanket over the dead right away and cordon off the area.
Don't know what to say...
I would get real paranoid if a car is following me that closely and I'm carrying a large sum of money. As part of my travels we are trained in evasion and avoidance techniques to deploy if you ever suspect that you're being followed and about to be attacked. Obviously just carrying a gun is NOT enough protection, because the bandits have guns too and they come out shooting, they're not even seeking to simply take your valuables and make a clean getaway...
