PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad - Darren Bravo and Jeremy Solozano smashed their seventh and maiden List A hundreds respectively, propelling the Trinidad & Tobago Red Force to a commanding eight-wicket victory over Windward Islands Volcanoes in the feature Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 Cup fixture, at the Queen's Park Oval on Thursday.

At Queens Park Oval: Daren Bravo who was dropped on 82 by Devon Smith at cover off medium pacer Ray Jordan en route to his unbeaten 115, hit leg spinner Keron Cottoy for a massive six over mid wicket to register his first hundred in any form of first class cricket, since scoring his eighth test hundred versus Pakistan in October 2016.

The Bravo-Solozano undefeated 226-run alliance broke two records. Firstly, the Trinidad & Tobago national record for any wicket, previously held by Brian Lara & Richard Smith of 199 against Jamaica in 2001.

Afterwards they toppled the regional record for any wicket. The previous holders were Wayne Blackman and Floyd Reifer in a 217 run partnership for Barbados versus Jamaica in 2007.

“Really and truly I just wanted to spend time out in the middle and was happy I was able to do that”, said player of the match Darren Bravo speaking to CWI Media and the press after the game.
