Former West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo has called Nicholas Pooran's attempts at altering the condition of the ball during West Indies' third ODI against Afghanistan a "silly mistake".
"I know Pooran since he was 17 years old and he is not that type of player," Bravo said on Thursday in Abu Dhabi where he will be playing in the T10 tournament as Maratha Arabians' captain. "Yes, that (ball-tampering) happened, the evidence is there. But deep down inside he doesn't mean anything [bad] to cheat or anything."

Bravo said Pooran needed to be given time to understand his mistake. "It is just a silly mistake on his part," Bravo said. "He accepted it. But I know the individual personally, and that is not something he will ever do or encourage anyone to do. It is just a simple mistake, he gets caught, he accepts it, but he is far from that type of player."
Allyuh see emir? Can't wait for him to return from Pressahkooker Jid and see dis....ah wonder what angle he will take on Bravo?

Here are a couple more from Bravo, which leaves a lot to be desired of his thinking
Unfortunately, Pooran is involved in this unethical behaviour.
The poutarians should be very afraid if Dwayne Bravo is their spokesman.

Not understanding this silly mistake stuff.
For those who have actually played some competitive level of Cricket ( which does not include not me ), is this something that happens by mistake, or is this just the tip of the iceberg hinting a deficiency in overall conduct ?
The fact that we already won the series and we did this, makes me think that we have either always been cheating and so it is a habit , almost like a reflex or muscle memory ... or that with the recent change of leadership that this culture has been injected.
Pooran himself has very little to gain when you assess risk/benefit ,, I dont expect any reprimand to anyone else in the public realm ( ala what happened in Australia ) , but I think that WICB needs to make it clear what our brand should be and impress that on the Captain and Coach.

As a person who stopped in transit at Piarco I am saddened. I like Pooran.

Not true! In the heat of the moment, creature of habit takes over.. this had to happen before before bro. Pooran and professional cricketers see this but fcukface pressure cooker killa saw some sort of conspiracy.
