I don't come to entertain people by hitting in the air

whenever I've played T20 cricket. I'm not someone who comes to the stadium wanting to entertain people hitting the ball in the air. I want to get the job done," Kohli told Star Sports after the game. Within that, if I get the opportunity to hit sixes, I will. But the aim is not to play slam-bang cricket. I think my role in this team is to bat long. Myself or Rohit (Sharma), one of the guys has to play till the end because our strength is usually striking in the later half of the innings, and our strike rate goes up. That's the role I play in every team that I've played in till now.

Kohli is a coward (or something close).

He never would've made such an utterance if his sidekick, Gayle, was still playing (or still relevant).

The great thing about him is that while he is winning matches for India, he is also entertaining the masses.

His cover drives, straight drives, and wristy flicks are some of the most aesthetically pleasing strokes you will ever see.

To be among the GOAT and still playing, you must be breaking previous record.
I am not up to date on Kohli's record, but I am not hearing as this time, he is the GOAT.
The only two athletes still playing that are mention, Tiger Woods who is three majors from tying Jack, and Serena.

By setting performance standards.
He may go on to be the GOAT or among the greatest.

All yuh hush the man is simply stating that he plays within his limitation

aesthetically he is not in the same class as VVS or Rowe or Azharuddin or Hooper or Kalli or Kanhai for that matter

Frankly When it comes to aesthetics the Prince of Port of Spain stands alone

Virat is however, though a flat track bully a true modern day great

Is that a message directed to Pollard, Lewis, Hetmeyer, and others who wants to show the IPL scouts they are the real deal?

Kohli is showing them the proper way to make runs and entertain in the process, even in T20i. Maybe they (the West Indies players) should take that advice and run with it.

I think Kohli hit the nail on the head. Country first and foremost, proper cricket, entertainment, and then IPL in the process. Some of these West Indians have it the other way around, Sixes first, IPL, and then West Indies, maybe.

Flat track indeed. He was the only one to score a Test century in South Africa on India's last tour there. Only one to average over 40 as well, if I'm not mistaken.
