There is something about Nyeem Young
In reply to nick2020
Too early
But guy got talent
And batting down the order with that amount of talent and bowls a good line. Decent cricketer
In reply to nick2020
Now doing it with the ball
In reply to nick2020
Very good signs.
Remember the name...
In reply to nick2020
better to be a Pouty nowadays

Pelty Pouty!
Same thoughts. Holder was the name that came to my mind first. Looks like a bright all round prospect. I am not sure if he is as quick as Russell with ball.

Young's bowling has regressed but batting has improved tremendously. Young was bowling in the 80's MPH range previous WC. He's bowling 80 now.
He gotta take a page out of big Jase book, look to move the ball around to get success at that pace.
I was more hoping he'll be our Steve Smith. Move from being a specialist bowler to world class batsman. Hey, nothing's impossible aight, leave me to dream
In reply to jen
or he could move it around like Pouty?
That slower bouncer reminds me of Bravo senior to be honest, and hes got 4 now didnt get to see him bat tho. But what about Seales definitely one to keep an eye on.
Yeah..didnt see him bat but bowling reminds me of bravo a bit.
In reply to Larr Pullo
are you watching?
x factor?
like keemo paul from previous world cup?
is he likely to do the mankad?
keep away from bishop
In reply to sudden
Don't need to move it around in T20s. Gun barrell straight don't work in test cricket.
In reply to nick2020
And a Michelle for young Young!!
Very impressed by his batting...hope he continues!
The team looks very professional and together. Lets hope they win.
In reply to Yamfoot
Looking good from here.
Another Young from Culpepper Island. From around the same area that produced Haynes,Franklyn Stephenson,Browne,Adrian Griffith,Albert Padmore, Ricky Skeete
In reply to culpepperboy
That's my area and it is not in the republic of culpepper.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Melbourne and St.John the Baptist are the two main cricket grounds on Culppeper Island!!
In reply to culpepperboy
An island that is totally landlocked?
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Who Young related to in the area?
In reply to culpepperboy
How come you omitted, Lemont Walters and Hammie Holder?
These two fine Yorshireman, should always be included when naming cricketers from that Neck of the Woods.
In reply to openning
Culpepperboy isn't old enough. I only heard about them but didn't see them bat.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
You accused Hammie of pelting, and only heard of him?
Hammie would be an all-star in the IPL, all he needed was a bottle in the dressing room.
In reply to openning
I meant I didn't see them in their prime. I knew Hammie and saw him as an over the hill old man by then
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Youngs and Stephensons got some connections.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Barbados is a rock off the coast of Culpepper Island!!
So is South America
In reply to culpepperboy
Yeah. I found out who is his grandfather.
In reply to culpepperboy
Nice stripe at Melbourne, easy to score runs there.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Yes. All good cricketers have roots on Culpepper Island!!
In reply to tc1
Nice strip too!!
In reply to tc1
I never scored a test century there though!!
In reply to culpepperboy
I neither, have you ever heard of Luther King.
Questions for you and Fuzz, why guys from Holder's hill goes to Carlton and guys from Paynes bay and fitzz village went to Trent.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
The first time I saw Hammier, he was playing BCL cricket, against Arsenal, a team from Jackson, that was in the sixties, when Yorkshire joined the BCA, a number of guy joined them.
I got to play with him, in 1968-69 at Yorkshire.
As a teenager, I was a fixture at Yorkshire, a ground my school played at.
Did I ever told you I captained, Anthony and Antonio Holder, before they went to Cawmere?
In reply to openning
They were table tennis players. I met one of them at BCC
In reply to tc1
Holders Hill fellas only go to carlton now because of Desmond Haynes. Paynes bay fellas went to CP and then maple
Luther was more legendary than Hammie and Lamont.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
That could be Antonio, the quiet one.
YMCA was the place they spend their time, I played a few times with Anthony.
Anthony came home for my mom's funeral.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy
Thanks, I heard about Luther, he was a BCL bully.
I heard that you are getting inducted with the big boys.
In reply to tc1
