Come on Bajans...don't screw this one up. Alyuh have a way of letting alyuh talent wither on the vine while playing some Stoute or Searles ahead of them season after season.

How close is Seales to a Bajan FC team?
In reply to Larr Pullo
Forget Barbados, they will just rot on the bench. Young and Seales should be drafted by the Leewards as regional franchise picks.
In reply to Larr Pullo
Seales is a Tit
Forde, Morris and Young are bajans
In reply to voiceofreason
So Leewards should get two top draft picks just so? This is a team that according to you don't even prepare for a four day tournament? You really think that would be the right thing to do?
In reply to Larr Pullo
The fast bowling stocks in the Caribbean looking good huh, send the bwoy to yard we'll give him some good roast yam and get him stronger and faster
In reply to sudden
Oh well I stand corrected. I thought Seales was a Bajan name.
Ok hope they don't turn him into a T20 pelter.
In reply to Larr Pullo
Seale not Seales
In reply to sudden
young is another Bravo, before Bravo got spoiled.
U19 Bajans on WI team:
Forde
Young
Simmonds
Morris
In reply to Larr Pullo
are you watching?
In reply to TheTrail
Simmonds hardly gets a pick tho
In reply to sudden
Yes
Red Force Horse!
In reply to Larr Pullo
so when you say like Bravo what do you mean exactly?
IPL coming soon..Plenty food..
In reply to sudden
Ability to change the game with bat or ball.
In reply to Larr Pullo
negatively or positively?
In reply to Larr Pullo
Ok Larr so you rather them not play or play? Its either that or get another developmental team like the emerging players to play in the R4D. That is a far more expensive option.
These young guys are well prepared as they play a lot of cricket in the BCA so they will be an exception to the lazy guys at LICA (Lazy InCompetent Association).
They targeted the wrong bowlers (Forde and Seale) and probably forgot Young was there "taking no prisoners."
In reply to voiceofreason
Leewards should be trying to get Niall Smith and Motie from Guyana, plus Anderson Philip from Trinidad
In reply to voiceofreason
Yeah but you don't want them going into a bad environment. It could ruin them.
In reply to Larr Pullo
True...I take back what I said about Smith, Anderson and Motie
In reply to Larr Pullo
Its not a bad environment as they have managed to produce the likes of Aljo, Cornwall, Walsh Jr, Hamilton and Powell. They are just not fulfilling the true potential of the unit as they are not putting the necessary time, resources and organization to do so. This team should be more successful.
In reply to sudden
Simmonds hardly gets a pick tho
He is Left-arm fast-medium. I cannot see him playing before Seales or Forde.
Maybe he will get a shot against Nigeria.
In reply to sudden
Simmo is quick
In reply to sudden
How many bajans you want to play, the tits soon come fuh you, oh they are all celebrating Big Pill victories over the green men.
In reply to mikelegend
No Motie please. I like Niall and Anderson. Springer needs to take notes.
In reply to tc1
He seems (hopefully temporarily) to have lost a yard of pace though... in the warm up matches in Caribbean in December against England & Sri Lanka he looked a yard slower than in the regional U19 tourney a few months earlier.... I know Jen rated him the quickest on show ( inc Seales)..... I hope nothing is wrong because I like the look of Simmons.
In reply to voiceofreason
I think this is an excellent suggestion. I am thinking WI cricket....those youngsters will have hell to get in once Holder Harding, Drakes and Mayers is fit. Look how McSween who couldnt get in a Barbados team is doing for the Windwards. Akeem Jordan is nowhere to be found.
In reply to robbo
The plus side is that he is lefty, a rare type .
In reply to robbo
You missed the D.
Simmonds
We should wait until these guys get out of this U19 before we rate their progression moving forward.
We still have 2016 U19 players knocking at the door throughout the region.
In reply to TheTrail
Was Simmonds part of the Barbados U13 team, with young Bethel?
Is he not part of the Stephenson academy, with British connections?
In reply to tc1
Yep.... I was very impressed with him in the regional U19 & as said Jen saw some games live , he was certainly impressed with him.
I think there is reason to have a development team in all the formats as there could be many good and potential players who might not get a chance to play regularly
In reply to openning
I think you are thinking about another Simmons (without the "D"). Right arm swing bowler (Keith Simmons grandson)
In reply to Pacy
Agree. Development team should be part of PCL. Very vexing seeing a guy like Greaves on the bench for Barbados and Springer and Leniko Boucher not even being considered for selection. They could go to play for a Leewards team player but not guarantee that they will bet playing time. PCL teams want to win and if not winning to develop their homegrown players so seasoned players would be a better option for them.
The Super 50 success of the Emerging players unit and before that the CCC team speaks volumes. Your peeps would probably be still wasting time with Ramdin and frustrating Da Silva had not for his exposure in the Super 50.

Logic and Openning :
Logic you are correct, this Simmons is older than Keith Grand son, he is from the Alleyne s school. Left arm as Robby describe , good pace.
In reply to robbo
Yes, indeed, we need to develop a youth fast bowling school for these youngsters, they are plenty that need help in their development.
In reply to Logic
Thanks.
I remember reading about him, taking ten wickets.
In reply to voiceofreason
U like niall and Anderson but not motie

In reply to voiceofreason
Looks like the revo needs life support.
In reply to Headley
I agree that we should have a development team in the regional competitions as a way to build team spirit and also test the bench of region. Perhaps we get a sponsor for them they could be headquartered in somewhere like St Maarten to develop interest in cricket there.
