Captain Polly, statistically speaking
In reply to doosra
Nothing to write home about, but early days yet and a work in progress. The curious thing to me is that he has not won a T20 series and that is the format where I would have expected the greatest impact.

Very true about the T20 series.
Doing well in ODIs though which isnt an area where weve had much success against anyone.
We beat Pakistan and Afghanistan at the World Cup in one off matches and beat England in 2 matches at home. Before that.....as somebody say.....dawg nyam we supper in ODIs

We also had a win and a tie against India in ODIs in India in 2018. Those were the only bright spots during a very dismal period.
WI winning ODIs now doesn't mean much. Global cricket is focused on 20/20 and Tests for the next 2 years..

We also beat the same Ireland before the world cup.....but nobody remembers that...they are minnows... but wait Pouty getting stripes for beating dem

I have a feeling you are Pouty number one fan.
In reply to FuzzyWuzzy guess the 2-10 record of the mafia was???
In reply to sgtdjones
I first saw Pouty at North Stars vs Barbados...I thought then there's something bout Pollard..I called him the righthanded Gayle because of his big hitting.
I was a Gayle fan then too.
Appropriate use as a warning.
Unlike "crapaud smoke yuh pipe" which could be a warning or a description.

Thats when he pummeled Pedro into retirement
I listened to that innings on the radio. Mason was apoplectic

There is a new mafia on deck.
In reply to tc1
The new mafia just started and bowling the new ball, so there is still some shine on the ball. Let's wait until the shine wears off and see how things go.
So, wait. Captains win, or lose, matches by themselves?
In reply to Norm
My short answer to your question is no. But if you listen to certain people on here the answer to your question is yes when we win and no when we lose
In reply to Norm
Duh! Yes!
In reply to tc1
Time will tell.
In reply to Walco
Interesting times ahead, brace for the ride.
