HEADLINE: Skerritt: Bravo’s world class reputation makes WI stronger

CaribbeanCricket.com 2020-01-22 16:05:30

PRESIDENT of Cricket West Indies (CWI) Ricky Skerritt said he was entertained by Dwayne Bravo in the T20 International series against Ireland, saying his reputation and his record will make the West Indies a stronger team.

Bravo made a return to the West Indies team last week, in a three-match T20 series against Ireland that ended on Sunday. The series ended 1-1 after the second match was abandoned because of rain.

Bravo, who last played for West Indies in 2016, made an immediate impact grabbing five wickets in the series at a low economy rate of 6.44. Bravo retired from international cricket in October 2018, but last December said he was willing to play T20 cricket because of the changes in West Indies cricket, including Skerritt, who was elected president in March 2019.

I am very happy to have Johnny Bravo back in the WI T20 team.

Also any of the top international teams would be happy to Bravo too

If DJB continues to perform, he will make any team stronger; but surely it can't be because of his reputation. Skerrit needs to rethink this... this is beyond funny. lol

A mixture of Senior players with the young players will be essential for CWI moving forward.

We have seen regimes who wanted no stars, to one that held a vindictive mode keeping the seniors out, it lead us to minnow status. It is not healthy carrying get even grudges.

Let's give this new Administration some breathing space, if they fail we can chastise them. In the interim let us support them.

Narps, any senior that can have a positive impact of helping the younger players should be welcomed back.

Such help is necessary to improve the skills
of our young players.

There is a silver lining , let us see how the end results turn out in time.

cool

Some here not long ago erroneously labeled him a "show pony".

The best death bowler to have ever played t20.

In the recent past....they CWI through the selectors got rid of /or crested obstacle and and an unfavorable environment fo seniors .....to make way for a puppet and inexperienced cappo...and it was the blind leading the blind for almost 4 years.....WI T20 cricket plunged to the bottom of ICC ranking

Now the present cappo is comfortable in his shoes...and is welcoming proven and tested seniors back to make the team stronger

Yes, indeed!

Sports is yet another entertainment option so stars are essential to draw an audience to the sport. No one goes to the park, or turn on his TV, to watch the likes of Hillaire and Cameron..or their designated no-talent yes man.

"A Who De People Dem Come Fih See?" big grin

The no stars, only inexperience policy was a recipe for disaster. Now the food have some taste. The next step is to take our cuisine to the upscale level.

You know - I am just glad that the vindictiveness against our cricketers is over. The product is cricket not a board president.who thinks he is bigger than the product
