The Board doesn't own the CPL. It sold it for peanuts some years ago. By the way, CPL is supposed to be this valuable asset, yet every year it still wants a bailout from the regional governments.

Go Figure!

My point still stands as to the massiveness of the purported viewership.

Dem figures relate to views and not viewers. But every year de CPL publish dese ambiguous stats in order to get Governments to provide dem did more concessions and bid higher for semi final and finals

Don't we have a poster from Jamaica that's an administrator at the CPL that posts here, ask him?

He vanishes when questions are asks about the CPL?

If one uses a chef to do accounting results can be exaggerated.

HERO CPL MAKES US$25MILLION IMPACT ON T&T ECONOMY

The Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has announced the tournament’s economic impact for Trinidad & Tobago. The 2018 event, which took place between 8 August and 16 September last year, created a total economic impact of US$25,689,199 in the country. This represents an increase on the 2017 figure even with the tournament having two fewer matches in the country in 2018

Ever the intellectual. Cannot argue against that view-point but why leave it to the imagination in the first place.

Not so complicated. They selling to Caribbean governments--easy money.

Well the numbers include TV viewers, so I guess the owners of the teams should be seeing a return on their investments, that increase in TV revenue is not going directly to the CWI.
