It has become an Afro virus

dayne 2020-04-07 23:05:01

They now are saying that 70% of the deaths from the C/virus in America are Afro-Americans, I guess living conditions have a lot to do with that result.

A handful of states report coronavirus cases and death by race and ethnicity. In Illinois, black people are 14 percent of the population but account for 30 percent of the confirmed cases and 41 percent of the deaths. In North Carolina, where African Americans represent 22 percent of the population, they make up 37 percent of cases and 22 percent of deaths. Data from Louisiana, where black people make up 33 percent of the population, shows they are represent than 70 percent of covid-19 deaths.

It merits an investigation to ascertain a root cause.

The info is use to educate. Some pseudo intellectuals here thinks it is racism.

Fauci says that underling condition that is prevalent in AA communities.

Does AA as individuals need to reflect on it and make a change? no. Everyone who is not health does.

We are all handicapped by society. Drs are encouraging you to use that as a crutch. He/she has a patient for life.

Here is the thing, I have no doubt that this disease is disproportionately affecting Black people but in some situations, Black people might have been disproportionately exposed.

Events like Mardi Gras in New Orleans are frequented by a lot of Black people, so it only makes sense that they would be disproportionately represented in a survey. It is believed that Mardi Gras was the catalyst for many infections.

In hard-hit Louisiana, more than 70% of the people who have died of Covid-19 are black, despite African Americans making up 32% of the Gulf state's population.

Some 40% of Louisiana's coronavirus deaths have occurred in the New Orleans area, where the majority of residents are black.

Health officials have previously said the Big Easy's residents suffer from rates of obesity, diabetes and hypertension that are higher than the national average, making them more vulnerable to Covid-19.

In the UK, the black and minority ethnic community is 13% of the country's population.

However, about one-third of severe cases of coronavirus are ethnic minorities, and most prevalent among that group are Indo-Asians.

Yes I believe the reason why colored people are being affected in relatively high numbers, is because many colored people work in the service industries where they come into contact with many people, thus being more exposed to people who are already infected, they then take the virus home to their relatives.

And they seem to be saying the death rate is due to the health of, and pre-existing conditions in, Afro Americans. The high blood pressure (perhaps of having to live that society)... The diabetes...

However, I'll leave that to the experts.

Yeah, we deep fry every damn thing.

An aunt oy mine once told me that it did not make sense to eat to avoid diabetes as "it run in the family".

I told her BS, it is the poor eating habit that does.

there are a lot of black Americans who eat fast food for breakfast lunch and dinner. I am no nutrition expert but I do believe that poor diet is a factor...
