The ball is the common denominator.

As soon as you touch the ball.....which you woould do to bowl and field, you potentially transmit the disease, thereby rendering “physical distancing” completely useless and irrelevant

The weather not too bad so far in the month of April, a few warm spells mixed with colder temps on some days but we are giving thanks.

18 charged in Brampton for playing cricket, breaking social distancing bylaw

Brampton municipal bylaw officers laid 11 charges over the weekend after neighbours complained about a group of men playing cricket, breaking physical distancing rules.

An Instagram video of the incident uploaded over the weekend shows a group of 13 people gathering in a field on Sail Rd. – in the Creditview and Mayfield Rds. area – on Sunday around 2:15 p.m. Two cruisers from Peel Regional Police then arrive on the scene.

“Upon investigation, 11 individuals were charged under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMCPA) for failing to obey a provincial order and were issued tickets in the amount of $880,” said city spokesman Megan Bell. “Two individuals departed the area before Peel Regional Police arrived.”
