The best thing about the Skerritt administration

Chrissy 2020-04-15 15:07:46

is that it understands that the most important stakeholder in West Indies cricket is the cricketers.
Mending fences with our cricketers is good to watch.

Sure there are aspects to criticize but when you understand that you can't sell mediocrity so you seek out the best, we are on our way back.
Any board president who thinks he is the centre of our cricket will fail.

Dat is all.

The best thing about the Skerritt administration

. . .is that the Big IDIOT can only stand aside and say, "Better you than me", all with a childish chuckle.

Hillaire was never a board president but he acted as if he were more important than the individuals who people actually came to see-the cricketers- but I get your drift!

The best thing about the Skerrit regime is that we can now start the fumigation process to get rid of any lingering stench from the Hunte-Hillaire-Cameron cabal.

True true but in all honesty the rot started before that pack

Jackie can't see beyond the H&H regime. In his world, there were no problems with the Board prior to the H & H and C & N regimes.

That statement is premature. We were just beaten 3-0 against Sri Lanka at full strength. Some players are only available in a world cup year which means they are manipulating the system. Skerrit only focus seem to be winning the next election. Time will tell

The choice of Pollard as Skipper ranks high up there sofar, but I guess the jury is still out on that one.

The best thing is the attempt to eliminate insularity out of West Indies cricket selection and open up selection to all players based on individual on-field performances, regardless of experience, age and island of origin. Unlike that of the previous administration with that crooked Browne and his bunch of crony selectors who single-handedly dismantled WI cricket with their poor selections of homies, relatives and friends.

I am in agreement with the sentiments You have expressed . However the stark Freaking fact in my opinion is this :

THE WICBC , aka The Worst International
Cricket Board in the Commonwealth has
yet to excise its CANCER .

IT HAS STILL BLUNTLY REFUSED TO

CHANGE ITS 100 YEARS STRUCTURE , AND

IT HAS NOT DEMONSTRATED THAT IT

INTENDS DOING THAT .

My take is that the People in the
WICBC relish playing Musical Chairs,
The results of this Charade makes the
WICBC akin to the Character in " Alice in Wonderland " .

THE WICBC IS RUNNING VERY FAST YET

IT IS IN THE SAME FREAKING PLACE !!!!

Obviously then there are not going to
be any improvements in West Indies Cricket . I am of the opinion that
the Regional Governments can and must
help the WICBC .

HOWEVER IN RETURN THE WICBC MUST

TANGIBLY DEMONSTRATE THAT IT HAS

INDEED CHANGED ITS AUTOCRATIC

STRUCTURE .

The Regional Governments need to be
cohesive and very serious when dealing with the WICBC , For years the WICBC
has bamboozled the People of the Region , by stating that it is going
to Commission Reports , however those
Reports have seemingly never been publicly aired .

The WICBC needs to understand that
although it maybe a Private Entity ,
When International Matches are played , It is the Policemen , and Firemen of Countries who are called upon to help in the event of Fires and Rowdiness .

IT AINT THE WICBC PAYING POLICEMEN OR

FIREMEN OF THE COUNTRIES WHERE

INTERNATIONAL MATCHES ARE PLAYED . IT

IS THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE REGION WHO

ARE PAYING THE POLICEMEN & IN THE

EVENT OF FIRES , THE GOVERNMENTS OF

THE REGION .

There is a new Administration in the
WICBC currently , yet there has been no sign that the WICBC is going to implement serious Structural Changes.

This Adminstration seems Hell bent on copying the Chicanery of previous
WICBC Administrations . This is prcisely why I have stated that they
are playing a Game of Musical Chairs .
