However, The Jamaica Gleaner has been reliably informed that none of the contracted players from the region have received their match fees of US$1,600 per game since the 10-round tournament started back on January 9.

how can this be the fault of only one man, what is the purpose of the board members, if not oversight?
Maybe the folks in finance are not allowed to work since this is not an essential service ....
Just trying to help out CWI
doan thank me yet
Skerritt needs to fix that
No finger pointing the buck stops with him
Where was the contingency planning
All this is going to have a severe knock on effect for the next few years, even Cricket Australia has stated that they've almost ran out of money.
The 90 retainer contracts is probably going to become unsustainable, they should look at restructuring and reducing those, they aren't getting value for money as it is.
Perhaps this is a Good Time to :
COMPLETELY RESTRUCTURE THE WORST
INTERNATIONAL CRICKET BOARD IN THE
COMMONWEALTH , aka THE WICBC .
For many years the WICBC has bamboozled the Governments and the
People in the Region by commissioning
several Reports which it then Ignores.
IT IS TIME FOR THE REGIONAL
COVERNMENTS STOP PLAYING HIDE AND
SEEK , AND STATE THAT THEY ARE
WILLING TO GIVE THE WICBC MONEY .
However this must only be done when the WICBC and its Satellite Boards
tangibly demonstrate that they have
undertaken a complete Restructuring of the WICBC & its Members Cricket Boards .
IN ESSENCE TO GET PUBLIC MONEY THE
WICBC AND ITS REGIONAL CRICKET BOARDS
MUST FIRST UNDERGO SERIOUS STRUCTURAL
REFORMS BEFORE RECIEVING PUBLIC
MONEY.
It is high time that the WICBC and the Regional Cricket Boards are compelled to make serious and concrete Structural changes .
Failing to do this the Regional Governments MUST DENY THE WICBC the use of Stadia in the Region owned by
the Governments of the Region .
THIS YEAR THE WICBC WILL BE 100 YEARS
OLD ; AND IN ALL THOSE YEARS THE
WICBC HAS BLUNTLY REFUSED TO CHANGE
ITS ARCHAIC STRUCTURE .
This is totally unacceptable , it is
high time that the Governments in the Region do something about the Worst
International Cricket Board in the
Commonwealth aka the WICBC .
