Thoroughly enjoyed listening to Lance. When he talks about being very hurt and disappointed in West Indies cricket he really means it.He admitted to me about 10 years ago that when the Wi lose he cries.
His story about not needing to go around the wicket is not accurate because I heard him admit that he was afraid to lose his line. This was particularly important in the 1968 test match against England at Bourda where Umpire Kippins refused to give Cowdrey or Knott out LBW simply because with Lance bowling over the wicket, even though he was close to the stumps there was always a chance that the ball would miss leg stump so Kippins gave the benefit of the doubt to the batsman.
One has to remember that Lance is 85 years old but he was a fierce competitor on the field and even though he only hinted at it,he was responsible for Sydney Jackman never representing Guyana again after dropping Sobers on zero thus allowing him to go on to make 204.

Roberts, Croft, Holding, Garner, Ambrose and Walsh.
Sydney Jackman story is indeed true. He was from skeldon and never got a chance again
