I find it interesting that in this Forum he has to my knowledge , never been cited .

My take is that if HE was Barbados ; Trinidad & Tobago ; Jamaica or Guyana , This fact would have already been stated in this Forum .

I was astounded when I saw his Stats in "THE VINCENTIAN " Newspaper . I have never heard that he was interviewed by any of the Sports Radio Personalities in the Countries
I have named ; and possibly Others .

I get the impression that the Countries I have cited are only interested in packing the West Indies
Team with only their Players .

In essence the name of the game is to select most if not all of the Players
from the Countries I have cited above.

I get the impression , that the Sports Journalists in the Region from the countries I have cited view their mission , to only boost and cite Players from their Countries who they believe must be selected .

This pervasive attitude does not and
will never bode well for West Indies Cricket . I don't know , but I have
a feeling that Keswick Williams stats
would never be cited by the so called
Sports Reporters in the Islands I have named above .

In my opinion the dice for selection is perpetually loaded against Players
from the Windward Islands . Worse yet
this aint nothing new . It has been going on for many years .

I simply want the Best Players selected Always . Obviously that MUST
be based on their Performances .

Time will Tell whether the Selectors of the West Indies Team while adhere
to selecting Players based on their
Performances .

In this Forum there are persons from
Jamaica ; Trinidad & Tobago ; Barbados & Guyana , I simply want persons in this Forum from those Countries to produce in this Forum
any article written by a Sports Reporter about Kesrick Williams performances in the T20 Format of Cricket.

It is obvious you dont follow the CPL, the West Indies gave away this tournament a number of years ago.
These team homes are in various Islands, but the teams are own by mostly non-nationals, with a number of drafted International players.
I am not a big fan of the format, but will watch any type of cricket.
Note the name of the team.
St Lucia Zouks

POINT 2020-04-25 11:56:21

The essential point that I am making is
the stark Freaking Fact that in the Region , and in this Forum Players from the Windward Islands are not celebrated
for their achievements .

Worse yet the Selectors are seemingly
adverse towards them . When Devon Smith
and Kenroy Peters emerged as Stars in
a under 19 Test Series in England , the
Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth did very little for them .

They were celebrated in England and Ignored in the Region . Peters was totally ignored , perhaps because he
was not 6 ft tall . Devon Smith after
scoring a ton in Jamaica and had a
"injury " had to once again prove to
the selectors that he deserved to be selected .

I have absolutely no doubt that if he
was from Trinidad & Tobago ; Jamaica ; Barbados or Guyana HE would have
been selected immediately .

Now this is a Freaking Fact not Fiction . Worse yet the WICBC has bluntly refused to change its modus
operandi .

On one occasion , Devon Smith was adjudged to score the most runs in the Regional Tournament , the Trophy was given to Sir Vivian Richards to present it Devon Smith. The President of the WICBC was MIA .

I SIMPLY WANT PLAYERS SELECTED BASED

ON MERIT , NOT WHETHER THEY LIVE IN

BARBADOS ; TRINIDAD & TOBAGO ;

JAMAICA OR GUYANA .

This B.S is stll present in West Indies Cricket .Let me remind ALL &
Sundry this Freaking Fact :

IT WAS SIR FRANK WORRELL WHO DEMANDED

THAT PLAYERS FROM THE WINDWARD &

LEEWARDS MUST BE SELECTED . IT WAS

NOT THE JOKERS IN THE WORST

INTERNATIONAL CRICKET BOARD IN THE

COMMONWEALTH ; AKA THE WICBC .

What is the complaint about? Isn't Keswick part of the WI T20 team? So how has he not been recognised or rewarded for his performances?

You are mixing Apples & Oranges .

THE REGIONAL TOURNAMENT IS COMPLETELY

DIFFERENT FROM THE REGIONAL

PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE .

Foreign Players are not allowed to play
in the Regional Tournaments

All the regional tournaments, are considered to be professional tournaments, CWI professional tournaments are the Super 50 and the 4-day tournament.
fifteen Players are drafted by each regional boards, with two players drafted into the squad, from other Island.
The CPL T20 is the tournament that Kesrick is drafted into for the St Lucia Zouks, I posted a link with the Zouks team.
Where did I get it wrong?

How do you figure out what the best record is in T 20 cricket? In view of the brevity of the game then economy rate is even more important than the 50 over game. Conversely bowling average is even less important than in the 50 over game. Also people who bowl at the death i.e overs18,19 and 20 will tend to go for more runs.

You are spot on.
Williams Econ rate in T20 is 8.59, I assume thats a good ER.

The freaking fact is that If I had not
posted this , No One in this Forum would have written about Kesrick Williams .

It is this freaking Tribalism why WE
aint getting anywhere in International
Cricket .

The Truth is that Cricket in the Region
is run by the Jamaica ; Barbados ;
Trinidad & Tobago & the Guyana Cricket
Boards .

Therefore the Players from
those Countries are perpetually guaranteed to be on the West Indies
Cricket Team . This B.S has been going on for years , with no freaking
end in sight .

Point if you check the Archive on this site, you would see numerous postings of Williams.
His last series was against Ireland, not too long ago.
You learned about him, from reading your home papers a few days ago, we have been following his career for sometime.
I am quite sure he was in a number of posters FL teams, over the years.
He and the soldier are two of CWI entertainers.
Below is the latest postings on Kesrick.
Kesrick Williams relishes playing alongside Dwayne Bravo
Congrats to Kesrick Williams

Coach Estwick was publicly singing the praises of Kesrick Williams a short while ago. Complimenting his skills and accuracy.

What I find quite fascinating is that those who often complain about tribalism never seems interested in, or touts, a player unless he is from his territory.big grin big grin

Oh damn!! I have seen Keswick done that to batsmen all the time, but I never knew a batsman (in Walton) turned the tables on him with the bat.

I like Keswick's attitude - he could give as much as he takes.

An ER under 7.0 is good bowling in T20.

Narine,Badree, and Keswick are very good bowlers bowling in T20.
