I wish I can turn back time and go to QPO and watch him bat, nothing better seeing the Prince with that high backlift in full flow

I remember once he was batting with Jimmy Adams and a narrow but inviting gap was through the covers against England set up sweetly for the cover drive, the bowler was pitching them all up hoping for a nick off to the packed slips cordon, Jimmy is mi man and he played at least 3 big cover drive shots and kept hitting it straight to a fielder. He gets a single flicks one down the leg side and the last ball of the over was the first ball to Lara and he drove it right through that tight gap like a needle..first ball no sighters ...there I knew..a genius was on my tv screen.

The most aestheically pleasing innings i haveever watched. Not one vall was hit in the air. It was just bisecting of gaps and manipulation of fielders. His innings in SL are also up there
