The attempted kidnapping of Maduro...
In reply to Larr Pullo
Yep
American Govt won't be able to play this failure down. The International media already have it on blast

Bay of Piglets.
It's been completely ignored by BBC domestic news. Probably because it failed.

Yuh see dis?
From there, Denman who said he had never previously set foot in Colombia nor Venezuela claimed the group planned to journey to Caracas to secure the city and the nearby Simón Bolívar international airport, before bringing down Maduro.
Denman said his mission had been to secure the airport, set up a perimeter, communicate with its tower and then bring in planes including one to put Maduro on and take him back to the United States.
I thought I was helping Venezuelans take back control of their country, Denman added.
Denman, from Austin, Texas, was detained alongside another American, named as 41-year-old Airan Berry, and 11 others . Eight other alleged mercenary terrorists were killed.

Yep! Sounds and looks familiar.
What ever happened to "The Pineapple" (Manuel Noreiga) they snatched away from Panama? Is he still alive?
//
In reply to Ewart
Nope, died in 2017.
In reply to Ewart
He died almost 3 years ago.

tRump looking for a win to distract from his COVID failure.
The unpatriotic Democrats should be (and will be) blamed for this fiasco.
They, with probably help from the Deep State, must've gotten wind of the operation and tipped off their socialist crony, Maduro.

The worst part of this is that they took the same approach they did with that Cuban aircraft that was blown up back in 1976 - off the books.
Intelligence must be pissed over this one. The irony of this is that he virtually announced it at one of the Covi-d-19 briefings.
And don't forget that Condi Rice announced the overthrow of Chavez only to have to walk it back after that flop.

That story played down his CIA connections and activities.

But its not likely that people who involved in them types of business to spill the true nature of their intent in this manner. Like everything else we aught to view these confessions with some degree of caution.
On the other hand its not likely that 45 would know how to hire the best people for this sort of thing. The mercenary probably working for free hence not the best qualified.

As always

My thoughts, also.
This guy appears to be talking much too fast. As a 'pro' he should be waiting for some kind of deal, not giving up info for free.
Thanks to Al Jazeera and Guardian News networks the world know what is going on this issue. Under pressure now the CNN now starting to report in detail. The International media exposure is too much for the American media to play down.

Yes, I had to watch this on al Jazeera.
The BBC only report on Venezuela when the story suits their narrative.
It all began with one man named Jordan Goudreau, who dreamed of opening his own private military company called Silvercorp USA to help find people who had been kidnapped, but also maybe to do a little kidnapping themselves if the mood strikes. Silvercorp (basically the generic store brand Blackwater) was commissioned to oust Maduro by opposition leader Juan Guaido, who is internationally recognized as Venezuela's rightful president. The deal ultimately fell through, and the whole operation was canceled ... and then Goudreau said fuck it and did it anyway, even after the CIA told them not to do it, but apparently, they didn't try hard enough.
Maduro loyalists had infiltrated the crew. Six of the mercs were killed, and at least two were captured. Though, Maduro didn't need to infiltrate the squad to know the details of the mini-invasion. All he had to do was follow Goudreau on Twitter, where he was live-tweeting the kidnapping of a world leader, and @'ing Donald Trump to get daddy's attention so he'd pet them on the head and tell them what good little mercs they are. Yes, they are! Yes, they are!

That recent Netflix mini-series (can't remember the name - Jack Ryan something, I think) conveyed the same dumb idea: that less than a dozen Americans, with American military hardware, could walk into Venezuela, shoot up the entire "incompetent" Venezuelan army, take over the Venezuelan president's residence, do whatever they want with him, and then leave with hardly a scratch!
Thus, I was not surprised to see a bunch of dumb asses try it. I am no fan of Maduro, but this kind of stupidity and disregard for other (than North American or European) countries is mind-boggling.
Needless to say, the idiots failed miserably and are hardly worth talking about.

Considering what Trump has done for Israel, one would think that if Trump wants to have a lil dirty deed done, the Mosaad would be happy to oblige instead of him having to rely on two bungling idiots to take out Maduro.
Jimmy Carter took flak for that failed rescue of Iran hostages. Why shouldn't 45 suffer these consequences?
In reply to Larr Pullo
If they can't catch maduro. They will surely catch granger.
Riggers must go to prison.
Well, I said it
