Chrissy this is a damning report. This audit seems to be suggesting serious Financial improprieties: Possible money laundering, co- mingling of funds, etc.
The first question is why was this audit not released, more so since most of it seems to have been the work of the previous administration? Is the current administration protecting the swamp rats?

When you refuse to release an audit report then you open the door to all possible speculations. Simple solution to avoid suspicions and speculations - Release the Report! Of course, if you have been part of the swamp, and you are still there, then you need the cover of the swamp and will do any and everything to keep that cover.

That is precisely the issue. The Board is not saying anything, and had this report not been leaked, would we have heard anything now or later?
There is also that small matter of half a million US dollars given by BCCI to the Board, and earmarked specifically for former players. Michael Holding asserts that he is a former player and that even though he does not wish a cent, he wanted to go on the record that he never received any monies, or know any former player who received any monies.

Do you guys really believe that BCCI would give the WICB $500,000 USD for former WI players????

I hope CWI follows this up with a forensic audit. Pressure must be brought to bear on the relatively new administration to move swiftly in this direction.

Absolutely nothing else will suffice.

On another note, this is looking very much like what's happening in the Guyana elections.

Now we understand why some men so jealously guard their fiefdom, which is the CWI-WIBC, including some who had to be dragged kicking and screaming after almost 4 decades on, or around, the board.

What's interesting to me is that Ricky always makes a point of NOT getting involved in player-related matters yet here he is asking for Chris to be sanctioned, publicly. He has never been a Chris Gayle fan, i know that much and i know very well that Sarwan is his boy for years, so i sure hope he is not being biased because it is not really his place even if he is close to Sarwan.

Skerritt was talking out with no authority in the matter.


Maybe the press asked him for his comment since he is the President of the WICB. I really don't see any real reason why Skerritt took it up to comment about a personal feud that has nothing to do with the West Indies team.

If you know anybody high up in the CPL ask them if it was important that CWI sign off on this.

You are saying things that both of us KNOW ARE UNTRUE.
Why did the release even bother to include CWI as being one of the groups that signed off on the deal.CWI could shut down CPL in a heartbeat and everybody knows it INCLUDING YOU.

Why did PJ mention CWI 3 times in his short statement, if it had nothing to do with CWI???

1.Notwithstanding, intense efforts were made to settle the charges for the benefit of CWI, CPL and Mr. Gayle, before empanelling its members.

2.This was received by the CTC and shared with the CPL & CWI to the satisfaction of all parties

3.The CTC, the CPL and CWI therefore consider the matter closed

an audit is done over a week or so for an entity that size,was that not enough time to provide the auditors with proper proof of those transactions?

Well in this Forum , I have stated , and will continuously state that ALL those in the Governance of West Indies
Cricket MUST not only be Removed , but be forever BANNED from having anything to do with West Indies Cricket.

The stark freaking fact is that the
WICBC / CWI has been in the governance of West Indies Cricket for
OVER 100 YEARS . During that length of time Those in the governance of West Indies Cricket have bluntly refused to change its Modus Operandi.

This is despite the fact that it has
commissioned several Reports , and the Findings of those Reports have never been implimented .

Obviously most of those in the Region who masquerade as Sports Journalists
quite frankly are FRAUDS . THEY see
themselves as being AGENTS of the
Worst International Cricket Board in
the Commonwealth .

These Frauds and their Masters in the
WICBC , mask their Deeds by only focusing and being critical of The Players .

The onus is on the Governments of the
Region to act for many years now they
have sat on the sidelines givng flowery Speeches , while giving those
in the governance free rein to be as
Incompetent as they can be unabated .

Here is Michael Holding , a Former Cricketer , doing the job that many FRAUDS in the Region who claim to be
Sports Journalists should be doing .

It seems that most of those who claim to be Sports Journalists ,in the Region are in Bed with the Worst International
Cricket Board in the Commonwealth .

This also verifies the salient point I have been making in this Forum ;
Those in the governance have been able to get away with nefarious activities , because most of those in
the Region who claim to be Sports Journalists are Sycophants of the WICBC/CWI .

The only solution to these activities
is to disband the WICBC/CWI and have
a new Entity in the governance of West Indies Cricket .

The fact is that it is high time the
Governments in the Region , take very
serious actions regarding West Indies
Cricket .

I have been , and remain convinced that the WICBC/CWI must be totally replaced by a new Entity . It is a crying shame that Michael Holding , a Former West Indies Cricketer , is doing the Job that so called Sports
Journalists in the Region should be doing .

They in my opinion are Frauds , masquerading as Sports Journalists , while in fact they are in Bed with the Worst International Cricket Board

I would love to see the whole report. So far some of the language I have seen from the excerpts alledgedly from PKF is full of a lot more conjecture that I would expect to see for an accounting firm report.
