Were all wanting to look at viable treatments but i think that right now, a lot of the studies are very preliminary on different treatments and the results have been mixed, Dr. Tam said. However theres some preliminary evidence from studies outside of Canada suggesting that hydroxychloroquine might have some role or may be effective in reducing some viral load.

Interesting documentation. Of note:
1) Study has not been peer reviewed.
2) Study may be biased for the simple fact that they did not do random patient sampling per drug administered but rather subjected the more severely impaired COVID patients to the HC test only or HC+AZ tests
it would have been more interesting to see what the results would have been had they done more randomized testing but the study itself does not help the use of HC or HC enabled drug.
I say what better clinical trial than the public one of President Donald Trump?
Let him continue to take the drug and show how effective it is against Covid-19
They should actually go further and have a daily show where he demonstrates taking the drug
Then televise tracking of his results on a daily basis showing how immune his system is against contracting the virus.
Imagine the ratings!

Exactly my thoughts as of when the news broke yesterday.
However, he could use a surrogate but only if it's WI_cricfan.

The problem with Dr. Tam is that she has been all over the map during this crisis. Saying one thing at one time and reversing it at a later date.
Even so, I am willing to give her a bye on this one, as this Covid-19 has been stumping the best of the best in the healthcare field.
More data and more trials will eventually give better insight and make for better decisions.
Meanwhile, Dr. Trump, the world's greatest healthcare specialist, is playing politics as usual, and he wants to prove a point, even if he may be lying about taking hydroxychloroquine. His ego could not stand that he may be wrong about the effectiveness of this drug in preventing or limiting the viral load of Covid-19.
And furthermore, for a man who always has his eyes on the stock market, even if, as he says he has no financial interest in the production of this drug, his family may have and he, himself, could have a financial polical benefit in promoting it.
And to increase the effectiveness in case the virus mutates he should double the dosage.

how about a few sips of some bleach to go with the dosage?
