This is Great !!! apart from the Cricket aspect of this Tournament . From a Tourism perspective , it is possible , that at intervals , The various Tourists Sites , which bears
the names of the Teams will be highlighted .

Congratulations to ALL involved in this
Venture ; including Jen . I sincerely hope that this Tournament will become
a Permanent Fixture in St. Vincent &
the Grenadines .

The SVG Government should embrace this Tournament , which obviously will showcase the various Tourists
Attractions in St. Vincent & The Grenadines .

I have no doubt that other Countries
in the Region will soon be having T 10 Matches , to also showcase their
Tourists Attracttions . However SVG
will always be on record as the
First Country in the Region to twin Cricket with Tourism .

I would expect the Tobago Cays , which collectively are a Marine Park will be shown in one of the Videos , along with each of Grenadine Islands and their Beaches .

Great job SVG cricket board and Jen with the website! Bravo!

Not so sure about POINT's statement about tourists though. I will be very surprised if anyone is traveling at this time for leisure purposes.

As for this statement:

However SVG will always be on record as the First Country in the Region to twin Cricket with Tourism

I eh so sure about that either.

Antigua Recreation Ground and test cricket?

Stanford T20 tournament?

Just to name 2. Barbados has been promoting sports tourism....particularly cricket...for the longest time.

Good for SVG though

Nothing better then having a couple of beers, when watching a game live.
I would have to watch, three matches, to finish a bucket of six beers.
What next, Super over cricket?
Who take this serious?

Who take this serious

Most cricket fans under 55

POINT 2020-05-22 19:41:31

I am reminded of the Following adage:

" WHEN THE FOX COULD NOT GET THE

GRAPES HE SAID THAT THEY WERE

SOUR".

It was stated that during intervals
the various Tourist Sites that the
various Team represents would be shown.

Obviously in the Region there are going
to be several Copy Cats , including
the Islands that some here are now being Critical of this Tournament .

POINT 2020-05-22 19:51:33

In reply to imusic

The stark freaking fact is that no island in the Region is being disbarred
from doing this to promote their Tourist Industry and the skills of their Cricketers .

I once saw an advertisment that stated " Barbados & the Grenadines " , It was
news to me that Barbados had Grenadines
Islands .

Now the freaking fact is that None of
the Islands that comprise the Grenadines is near to Barbados .

St.Vincent itself , is closer to Barbados geographically than any of the Islands that comprise the Grenadines .

You have the Vp to advocate for Vince land, that all, all these years you rant about these perks and now the shoe is on your foot , you endorse the privilege of the few.
You all the biggest hypocrite .

In reply to tc1

When an effort is made to promote Tourism and also the skills of Players
there is no reason to criticize that effort .

This does not negate the stark freaking
fact that the WICBC/CWI remains the
Worst International Cricket Board in the Commonwealth .

The West Indies Cricket Board is over
one hundred years old , yet it adamantly refuses change its Structure .Now this is a Freaking Fact not Fiction .

Absolutely No One can factually state
that what I have stated regarding the
Structure of the WICBC/CWI is a figment of my Imagination .

YOU are trying very hard to attempt derailing what I have stated , but
No One can provede credible evidence
that in its over 100 years old existence ; the Structure of the WICBC/CWI was changed . Deal with that Freaking Fact .

Whatever happened to all the Reports
that the WICBC Commissioned ????????
How many changes recommended by those
Reports were Implemented ???????????

This Post is about a colaboration between the SVG Cricket Association &
The Government of SVG via its Tourist
Board .

I assume sportxmax can be seen, in your part of the world.
Please outline skills, facing sixty balls, or two overs per bowler.
I see St.Lucia numerous times a day on my television, even the Jazz festival, get a lot of coverage.
This is a local ten over competition Point, only people that is paying for the sportxmax channel, will see the games.
Streaming on-line would be better, especially with very little sports being played.
