Sincere condolences to Jala's family on his passing. To his wife, his very young kids, and his brothers and sisters.
He was a man of faith and family, and a solid brother.
One more of the CC crew has departed this physical.
RIP Jala.

Chrissy, how comes I'm locked from posting on that other thread about Jala?
I made a comment there, but want to edit it now that we know of his death.
Lots of transitions in the backroom maaaan.
Tough to read and hear about so many people that we 'know'.
Was Jala's death Covid 19 related?
wait....are doosie and Jala the same cos i havent heard Doosie for a while now?
In reply to Drapsey

In reply to Cheeks

RIP.
Deepest condolences to Jala's family. Jala was at heart,a good man. Gone to soon.

But based on comments he must have been a good poster and missed.
Jala had strong convictions about the appropriate direction for West Indies cricket and other matters and he made them clear.
Good dose of perspective being dished out here about differences of opinion and the pointlessness of getting bent out of shape in these discussions.
Man this is devastating and shocking. RIP jala.
Sorry to hear this Larr, and it hurts me a lot because we were good friends and we had a little fall out and lost touch.
i am extremely sad as we knew each other from uni days...and the little spat was never settled

Exactly what I was getting at re a 'healthy dose of perspective'
But you shouldn't feel bad...we are all human ..and the 'falling out' is par for the course ..and nobody knows the hour.
Sad news. Rip.
My condolences
In reply to Larr Pullo
Damn! Sorry to hear. My condolences.
Wow! What a shock, met him a few years ago in the USA, Matchy and Cricketmygame as they always do set up a bumper ball match in Brooklyn for him. Took my entire family and had fun with Ray too... gone but not forgotten Jala!
I will cherish that memory of you bro, even though we disagree here from our posts, we may be dysfunctional on CC dot com but we do love each other! RIP my friend and condolences to your family!
Got this call earlier today but wasnt sure! Very Sad!
Sad news
Wow wow wow Too sad. Deepest sympathy to Jala's family and friends. One of the first things that came to mind after reading the lead post was that Jala will not get to see his boy Hety develop and hopefully flourish as a cricketer.
In reply to Doosra
Glad to see u posted. Had me worried for a moment.
My condolences to Jalas family.
RIP jala
My Dear Friend Jala
One of the first cc.comer I had the pleasure of meeting. We've hung out several times over the years since and also kept up on FB.
He was such a nice person who loved sports (ALL SPORTS) and wore his heart on his sleeve. Above and beyond all of that he was a lovely family man and a devout Christian.
His favorite cricketer was Carl Hooper.
Regarding Doosie, I once asked him. The man only had good things to say about Doosie and was also sadden by their unfortunate fall out.

let this be a lesson not only for you but to all of us...as Cheeks rightfully said "with a healthy dose of perspective"...the greatest honor you can give to Jala now is to learn from this experience...peace bro
