Larr Pullo 2020-05-23 14:55:27

Sincere condolences to Jala's family on his passing. To his wife, his very young kids, and his brothers and sisters.
He was a man of faith and family, and a solid brother.

One more of the CC crew has departed this physical.

RIP Jala.

Jala had strong convictions about the appropriate direction for West Indies cricket and other matters and he made them clear.

Good dose of perspective being dished out here about differences of opinion and the pointlessness of getting bent out of shape in these discussions.

gvenkat 2020-05-23 16:46:03

Man this is devastating and shocking. RIP jala. sad

Sorry to hear this Larr, and it hurts me a lot because we were good friends and we had a little fall out and lost touch.

i am extremely sad as we knew each other from uni days...and the little spat was never settled

Exactly what I was getting at re a 'healthy dose of perspective' sad

But you shouldn't feel bad...we are all human ..and the 'falling out' is par for the course ..and nobody knows the hour.

Wow! What a shock, met him a few years ago in the USA, Matchy and Cricketmygame as they always do set up a bumper ball match in Brooklyn for him. Took my entire family and had fun with Ray too... gone but not forgotten Jala!

I will cherish that memory of you bro, even though we disagree here from our posts, we may be dysfunctional on CC dot com but we do love each other! RIP my friend and condolences to your family!

Got this call earlier today but wasn’t sure! Very Sad! cry

cricketmygame 2020-05-23 19:52:53

My Dear Friend Jala
One of the first cc.comer I had the pleasure of meeting. We've hung out several times over the years since and also kept up on FB.

He was such a nice person who loved sports (ALL SPORTS) and wore his heart on his sleeve. Above and beyond all of that he was a lovely family man and a devout Christian.

His favorite cricketer was Carl Hooper.

Regarding Doosie, I once asked him. The man only had good things to say about Doosie and was also sadden by their unfortunate fall out.
