Tuesday, 2 June 2020 — ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies' (CWI) selection panel today named a fourteen (14) man Test squad and list of eleven (11) reserves for the proposed Sandals Tour of England 2020. Subject to the final approval of the UK Government, the West Indies will defend the Wisden Trophy in three back-to-back Test matches to be played behind closed doors, starting on July 8. The touring party, who will all be tested for COVID-19 this week, are scheduled to fly to England on private charters on June 8.
The West Indies squad will live, train and play in a “bio-secure” environment during the seven weeks of the tour, as part of the comprehensive medical and operations plans to ensure player and staff safety. The bio-secure protocols will restrict movement in and out of the venues, so the selection panel has also named a list of reserve players who will travel to train and help prepare the Test squad and ensure replacements are available in case of any injury.

This is being held so that the ECB can continue to rake in millions from Sky TV.
English cricket fans will be so starved of cricket this summer that they'll watch anything on TV!

I believe Hetmyer and Bravo must have acted in retaliation to being dropped in recent times and they just used covid -19 as an excuse. I hope the new batsmen make very good use of the opportunity so Bravo and Hetmyer could learn that we can succeed without them now and in years to come.

The point I was making is that West Indies cricket has fallen so low that not one player on this team is worth watching much less paying to see them play. I remember the days when people slept outside Bourda in Guyana in order to get into the ground the following morning, to watch the West Indies play.

Don’t watch then; true fans watch their team even if they suck, it may be tough at times, but that's What fans do. I'm old enough to remember when Windies beat the bricks off England last year, but hey, what do I know.
