West Indies fast bowling great Andy Roberts believes Shimron Hetmyer erred when deciding to forego the West Indies tour of England.
“They would have played an integral part of the batting,” he said during a recent conversation with Michael Holding on Holding’s YouTube channel. He suggested that the tour to England was an opportunity to improve his batting.

Hetmyer is not ready yet. He feels he is bigger than the game that made him known though he doesn't have the stats to prove his worth.

CWI made it clear that players would not be penalized for choosing not to tour. I do not think we ought to criticize players for making a decision that can have critical health consequences for them in the uncertainty of a worldwide pandemic. We may think that everything is safe, but the players have to be comfortable about their decision to tour or not.

Let roberts throw he frame......Clive Lloyd said that coronavirius ravaging GB right now and the tour should not take place, especially as the CWI is getting not a cent of the broadcasting revenue under the current financial arrangement. If Wasim Akram(who had diabetes while he was playing) had opted out of a tour, i wonder if roberts would have said the same thing?Maybe he should go to a hospital in GB to see how nice covid 19 actually is.......hetmeyer is an idiot, but i cant get him wrong for opting out of the tour

his on field behavior suggests serious immaturity...and i have not criticized his decision not to tour. I have said on numerous occasions that england is not a safe place to tour right now where covid is exploding. I sympathize with the ECB due to the amount of broadcasts revenue they stand to lose, but i dont think the tour should be taking place right now...its not safe
