No , but he sure as hell abdicated his responsibilities for mitigating its effects.
Lack of qualified leadership at the helm will do that every time.
Trump has been lucky ever since he was born with a copper spoon in his mouth. Notice i said copper, because even with a golden spoon he could not be successful without cheating and embezzling his way through life with nary a care in the world.. Hence his multiple and I mean multiple bankruptcies.
Some of that luck is now abandoning him and now he cannot stand on his own two feet.
Blaming others is not going to help.

IT IS THE HEAD OF STATE WHO IS THE
LEADER IN CRITICAL MATTERS .
Your Hero despite being the President , refused to act as a Leader , he also failed to delegate persons to
handle the Pandemic .
IN MOMENTS OF GREAT CRISIS OF MOST
COUNTRIES , IT IS THE PRESIDENT , OR
HEAD OF STATE WHO SUMMONS HIS
OFFICIALS AND SOLICIT THEIR ADVICE
REGARDING SUCH A GRAVE MATTER .
You and those of your ilk fail to realize or understand the stark freaking fact ; that it is HIS failure to lead why Thousands of People are dead .
When the Leader of a Country He/She
faces a grave Crisis , they lead , but not your hero he ran away , because his percieved Image would be
dented .
It is due to the fact that Trump took a Pass , to try saving his Image , and exposing his meager Leadership Skills . Essentially , he farmed out
HIS responsibilites , and made matters worst .
Because he shirked his responsibilities , the Governors of the 50 states had to INDIVIDUALLY lead their States in this Pandemic matter .
This obviously meant that there was &
is NOT one coherent Stratergy . Now in most Countries , it is the Leaders
of those Countries who handle their Crisis .
However because Trump refused to be the Leader of the USA with regard to this Cricis . WE have the Governors
of each State , trying Individually
to do what needs to be done for their
States .
OBVIOUSLY THEN THERE WAS AND IS NO
GENUINE COHESIVE FRONT .
As a result the Governors of the States find themselves outbidding each other for various medical stuff
to help the People in their States .
Obviously that modus operandi aint
cohesive , This is one of the main reasons why over 150,000 people are
dead .
Your percieved Hero , due to his cowardice , and refusal to being the
Leader with regard to the Pandemic , was and is the cause of the deaths of many people .
He saw Andrew Cuomo , the Governor getting a lot of Publicity with his
briefings on TV with regard to the Coronavirus ; so He decided to do the
same , also on TV .
Unfortunately , He realized that He
could not outdo Governor , so he stopped his daily TV Briefings .
What I am very sure of is the fact that History will not be kind to him or his Presidency .

No – but he sure enabled and nurtured it. South Korea and the US announced their first virus acquisition the same day. South Korea population is 51 million the US population is 340 Million. South Korea death total from Corona is 301, the US death total is 156 thousand --- Trump did not create COVID 19 but he sure help to propagate it in the USA – I leave the % of population to death ratio for you to calculate
