Imagine she wants to be PM of this nation that was recently categorized as "First Word Status" for whatever that means and entails, but she has alleged PNM "corruption" as one of her rallying cries and boldly proclaimed she has personally screened every candidate.
Including this feller who was picked for a safe seat in the Caroni belt. Now, this is the type of "new, young fresh face" she wants to dump in the nation.

United National Congress (UNC) Caroni Central candidate Arnold Ram was fired by Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd (TSTT) for “misconduct” of a “serious nature”.
“The company (TSTT) views your actions and the findings of guilt made against you by the disciplinary tribunal as serious acts of misconduct which resulted in financial losses to the company in the sum of $3,689,209.36 which includes the losses suffered in making the advance payment to the company (name called) as well as the additional losses the company (TSTT) incurred in re-doing the entire tender process.”
• Approved and/or authorised for payment to the successful bidder (the named company) an advance payment of $3.3 million or 50 per cent of the down payment of 12 three-ton bucket trucks with aerial lifts and accessories with full knowledge that the terms of payment clause in the Request for Proposal did not permit an advance payment.

He is lucky he is not in jail. And I hope criminal charges are pending, because what he allegedly did- the strong evidence cited in the article I linked is mighty serious.
This is yet another massive example of poor leadership, poor judgement and don't give a damn attitude of Kamla, she just puts someone in a safe seat who has lots of questions marks over his ability, his qualification, his ethics, his judgment, his decision making and his seemingly utter disregard for moral, ethics and professionalism.
It should not be loss in the seat she places him and her apparent "love" for the constituencies, if that is the way Kamala shows "Love" then who needs hate.

One pnm candidate has a restraining order for domestic abuse. Another is under police investigation accused of stealing from his dead grandfather. There are crooks on both sides.
Both sides have a history of corruption.
Pretending otherwise is foolish. I hope the PNM wins, but it takes only a sliver of the population to decide the election outcome.
