What dreadlocks?

That looks like braids to me. Braids rolled up into two buns (like white folks' hair style).

People should be free to express themselves , especially when what they
do is acceptable , and Tidy . I found
nothing in the Photo that was disturbing in my opinion .

False reporting.

The lawyers were incompetent and the judges didn't rule.

While I am concerned as are many, all that has occurred so far is an oral presentation. The written judgement has not been handed down as yet and one party was ruled not to have standing and that the other claimant's constitutional rights were not breached. So as far as we know Jamaicans for Justice was deemed not to have standing.

On social media somebody said the 2nd claimant was the father. I hope their lawyers did not argue that it was the parents' constitutional rights which were at issue which if they did, as a non-lawyer that seems stupid. We will know soon enough when the written judgement comes down.

This is a classic case of Afro Saxons calling the shots. In Trinidad, the Afro Saxons era is over- the last remaining ones died.

This ruling is not only a massive backward step, but an insult to all Jamaicans and timing of it just shocking. Trump and other global white supremacist crusaders will be proud of those judges.

Again the written judgement has not come through as yet. So far what we really have are interpretations of what happened through the media and the lawyers who lost. See my previous post.

I understand, but the mere fact they lost the case in Jamaica is mind boggling- regardless of the logic the judges may have.

In Jamaica in the year 2020, a little black girl cannot wear her hair in a dreadlocks is the most bizarre.

Had this happen in the USA, we would have made sure to shame and chase away the school leadership and the judges.

Judges rule on the law or procedure, lots of possibility here! An important point here is that the kid in question is not wearing dreadlocks; but a fancy hairdo which schools prohibits, in an attempt to hide income inequality. Your thoughts on the lawyer in court attire wearing dreadlocks?

When you make an argument like, it only seeks to rationalize and legitimize the thinking of the judges. It is what oppressors do- they work to change the narrative.

Look at Zimbabwe, they invaded, occupied and stole the most fertile lands and sucked the fat off the land for generations. When the people overthrew their rule, the white settlers and thieves fought to change the narrative to one of compensation for "their lands" when the only true narrative was the people reclaiming what was stolen from them.

Back to the judges, you speak of "procedure." Whose's procedure and who determined the procedure?

When someone explains to you what happened you will have to backtrack.

Who were the claimants in the case?

I would have no problem doin so, if my understanding of it is wrong.

It doesn't matter, injustice is injustice and those who fight against it are doing a good thing.

Emir it does matter.

If Camos and Nick2020 walked towards you and Nick2020 punched you in the face but Camos ended up as the claimant in court for assaulting Emir what do you think would happen?
