Fuzzhead

“Kieron Pollard is one of the world’s best T20 players, but he knows as well as I do that he cannot play test cricket; he isn’t good enough to play test cricket. Someone else playing Test cricket for West Indies, however, won’t be able to make as much money as Kieron Pollard.

See you didn't read the article

lol lol

the truth is Pollard is a much better batsman than they give him credit for because he can think; and think on his feet.

DIEHARD 2020-09-08 17:33:14

In reply to XDFIX

Tbh..he could say so about Shai Hope, Shamar Brooks, Kraigg Brathwaite, John Campbell..basically any current WI Test batsman, Pollard is better than them all

sudden 2020-09-08 17:41:47

clearly Gower doesnt know about what he is talking. Pouty should be test cappo batting at 6

methodic 2020-09-08 18:01:44

In reply to sudden

he doesn't, they said Richards wouldn't survive playing that way

Men like Gower and co happy WI continues to shoot itself in the foot. Dey doh want to see England gwt the kinda fearful licks we put on them in the 80s. Pollard is the snartest cricketer in the WI. Imagine Brathwaite, one of tge most incompetent cricketers in the WI(aside from two innings) has played test cricket for the WI and pollard has not

I swear you either mad or getting there big grin smile smile smile

dayne 2020-09-08 18:34:28

People use to say the same thing about Collis King, but King did play Test cricket and did score a Test century, if it was not for the Packer series he might have scored more.

Halliwell 2020-09-08 19:11:55

Carlos Remember the Name has played 3 Tests
Big B has played 40 Tests

Gimme a break!

Gower, like the recently departed Bob Willis, revels in the W Indian demise, in a vicarious ecstasy

Surely will be piggybacked by Polly haters, even if it’s nonsense
Let’s stick with Braithwaithe, Powell and Hope.

I told you repeatedly that to some persons, the health of the the last of two serious regional institutions( the ither being the University of the West Indies) does not matter. Once their territorygets a foward they are hapoy. Case in point. Amit Jaggernauth was knocking on the doors of the West Indies for years, since he was a teenager. Look who got chances before in front of him. Benn, Permaul etc. Players who solely benefit from poor spinning techniques from the majority of west indian batsmen and bad pitches. Jaggernauth performed well against Australia in practice matches yet Benn got a call before him and more chances than him. I remember Sunil Narine first full away series vs bangladesh. They had permaul in the side, not as back up but as competition. I mean your talking about chalk and cheese here. And Trinidadians have always been the victims. There are still morons like allan and co who still blame Brian Lara for the demise of WI cricket. Why yuh think when bravo and narine and pollard and russell destroying the IPL, yuh does hear pungent, nitrogenous gobar about playing for pride?

That is why you must revel in the win. Its a defeat for blind, puny myopia.

XDFIX 2020-09-08 23:40:57

Cut Gower some slack, perhaps he was just responding to questions put to him!

JahJah 2020-09-08 23:44:52

Pollard wasn't good enough for ODIs. Has he become good enough for Test cricket now?

Jumpstart 2020-09-08 23:50:21

In reply to JahJah

Once again.....he was never worse than brathwaite and de fatboy spinner from barbados who could not catch a cold naked in winter....who droped Steve Smith in that World cup match last year when we had them 80-5. They both got an extended run. He cannot be as bad and as useless as them

Select him for a test series and see his early retirement.
He and Bravo played in the 2018/19, 50 overs.
Have a look at the performance.

Before the tournament they had discussions with Dave Cameron who promptly had the Selectors pick the squad for the India series a few days before the super 50 started.....i would have performed like crap too.

Class in session!

Who is the teacher, will it be Sammy or Pollard?

Gower will certainly be ticking the Pollard's T20 column!
