RIP Sheldon Gomes. One of the regions finest fielders
Condolences and blessings to his family
Heard him and his other brother speaking about Larry on the The Mason and Guest show months ago, seem he is from a close knit family.
May he RIP.

Rest in peace, Sheldon.
OMG! Played against him in NY after his prime!
A real gentleman! He actually gave me and few friends tickets to QPO to see India vs WI ODI I believe in 2005.
May his soul RIP.
RIP, played against him in NY Commonwealth League, affable guy
Deepest sympathy to Larry and the rest of the family
RIP Sheldon
I believe he was still a teenager when I first saw him fielding for WI at Bourda in a test match. He was the emergency fieldsman.
I remember always thinking for such a good batsman he made too many ducks in Shellshield

Sheldon Gomes was a great player, a true gentleman and was a wonderful ambassador of this game. A class act as a batsman and also as a human being to all who knew him. The memories of his great batting (double century vs. Jamaica in Shell Shield), his great fielding prowess and sportsmanship will always be remembered by cricket fans in the West Indies.
He exemplified the highest principles of professionalism, courage and integrity, attributes which are so special; the World of cricket will be poorer as a result of his passing. His light will shine while the great game is played.
And now he has retired to the great pavilion in the sky.
May his soul Rest in Peace.

Great fielder
Condolences to the family and prayer.
RIP Sheldon, he was another of the many WI batsmen that didn't realize his true potential.

Better than Larry, but after a string of ducks, his confidence and career nosedived
