Narine was reported again

dayne 2020-09-18 14:25:06

In the just completed CPL, Narine was reported again for having an illegal action, however he was just cleared to play in the IPL, it seems like Narine cannot be an effective bowler without throwing.

ICC is really inconsistent on dealing with chucking...some guys are thrown out when few selected guys are given an extremely long rope...

How does that work?
Is the reporting under ICC or CPL or CWI jurisdiction?
What do you mean ‘cleared’ to bowl in IPL? Has Polly and Hety been similarly cleared for IPL?

Sorry. Asking just for clarity.

he was reported moron. He was not convicted and he was cleared after examination at an icc testing enter in Loughborough

Guardian Media Sports on Thursday understands that Narine, 32, a right-arm-off-break bowler and Zouks fast bowler Kesrick Williams, 30, were both reported at the end of the fourth round for a suspect bowling action. Both players were made aware during the tournament that reports had been made against them about their suspected bowling actions. After they were reported both players continued to play during the CPL and they were monitored by experts from Loughborough University in England. They were then required to send video footage of their bowling action to the University for further analysis.

A well-placed source close to the developments told Guardian Media Sports on Thursday that Narine, who played five of his team's 12 matches took six wickets, has already done his work and has been cleared. According to the source, “Sunil Narine sent in his video footage, it was analysed by the experts and he was cleared after that and will be taking part in the IPL with the ball as well. The experts also monitored him during the rest of the tournament and they said they found nothing wrong with his action.”

Once a pelter always a pelter. De body always reverts to what has worked for it over time. Dat windball cricket he plays or used to play is of no help cause pelting is legal dere

Thanks for the info.

It is sad how these posters take pleasure and happiness that our key players were reported. A true fan would feel sad and wish the player best of luck, but these dutty insular posters don't care for our cricket, their hate conquers all.

Walco 2020-09-18 23:43:03

The good news here is that Narine can bowl with a legal action when tested. This was not the case a while back. But we now know why he missed so many games during the CPL

This was not the way, he was bowling during the Cpl 2020
He was defintely pelting

Ah feel sorry for some ah allyu. Anytime someone doh post someting in line wid allyu thoughts, dey have an agenda.

It is very simple. To remodel a suspect bowling action one must bowl as many or more balls wid de new action dan dey bowled wid de old. Dat eh easy to do if you are playing competition cause de body will remember de old action and revert to type when de pressure is on.

Dis is Narine's 3rd or fourth remodeling exercise which suggests dat his muscle memory has been kicking in from time to time.

Its simple body mechanics. Maybe you shud add dat to de agenda when next you discussing bowling

Agree, they do have agendas- this insularity is killing our cricket.

That poster seems gleeful that Narine was called.

A true fan of our cricket will be sad and offer best wishes to the cricketer, not make statement like "always a pelter....."

he was not called, but reported ... the system is as it is now because the umpires could be in error. as it was determined in this case, the reported suspicion was an error.
He did not remodel , he sent videos , he was also monitored and his action was cleared.. therefore no need to remodel.

Did ah say he remodeled after this last call? Allyu have a comprehension problem? Over the years Narine has remodeled his action 3 or 4 times. His latest version is de one he showed up with at this CPL.
