Holy cripes what an ad.Some of those stats are absolutely damning to be honest.

Remains to be seen what is her actual plan for the place aside from nice little photoshops of buildings on current run down infrastructure as the democrats have absolutely run that place into the ground.

they need someone like her in the republican south and Appalachia

The truth about these dysfunctional, downscale communities is that they deserve to die. Economically, they are negative assets. Morally, they are indefensible. Forget all your cheap theatrical Bruce Springsteen crap. Forget your sanctimony about struggling Rust Belt factory towns and your conspiracy theories about the wily Orientals stealing our jobs … The white American underclass is in thrall to a vicious, selfish culture whose main products are misery and used heroin needles. Donald Trump’s speeches make them feel good. So does OxyContin.

Republicans really have a lock on the appeal to dumb people! Can she do more as a US congress rep, than the Republican governor for the state?

BeatDball 2020-09-27 19:25:43

In reply to camos Yeah dumb people, ya facting foool! For decades, for decades the inner cities are shitholes - crime, piss poor public education, vagrants littering the streets, etc etc & we should keeep it that way. Just keeep it that way, the status quo! Man, I dont understand this facting mindset! I do not understand this mindset! Gwallang.

Do you see where nyc is heading, eh? Ya facting fool? Drive by shootings, littered streets, vehicular crashes, abandon vehicles on the streets, people doing mechanic work on vehicles in the streets, neighbors having multiple parked vehicles on the streets taking up parking, etc! This city is heading back to pre-Guiliani...I have said this years ago & it's happening.

I dont understand

that goes without saying, what a woman running for US congress can do, for the city of Baltimore, or any other city, that the Republican governor of the state can't do?

I'm not Republicunt and I can't stand Trump but I would vote for her. I live 20 mins from shithole Baltimore and what you all saw in the video is rampant in many parts of BMore. We need change there, even if it's contrived bs from the Republicunt party.

Those conditions are not unique to Baltimore, lots of old industrial cities in the Northeast and Midwest are like that. Some of these places can't be redeveloped because of pollution and long court battles about who is responsible for remediation. Now this woman running for US congress promising a fix, why the Republican governor of Maryland don't fix the problem if it is the Democrats fault?

So who is the Democrat for that district.
But you should know they are real consequences to Republican policies such as redlining, redistricting and political gerrymandering etc that leads to the erosion of tax base in these communities and once the tax base is gone they are ignored. No one speaks about the policies Republican administration leaves behind. Democrats might run the cities but republicans own the legislature and that makes it difficult to enact policies to benefit these communities. So you are looking at the remnants of Republican policies in these places and I am not sure what this lady can do differently that the Republican Govenor cant do now.

They are probably just waiting for the tax to accrue on these properties to the point where the city can whole scale cease, then resell it to Kushner or some other developer for gentrification. That's whats happening.

Ben Carson is Housing Secretary, he is from Baltimore. There is a Republican Governor, surely he can do something right?
