ST JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) today announced the two squads for the proposed tour of New Zealand which will feature three T20 Internationals and two Test matches from November 27 to December 15.
Details of the tour were ratified by CWI’s Board of Directors during a teleconference on Thursday. The Board agreed to the tour in principle, subject to final details on medical and logistical protocols of CWI, New Zealand Cricket and Government of New Zealand.
In the Test squad, there is a return for left-handed batsmen Darren Bravo and Shimron Hetmyer, as well as all-rounder Keemo Paul. Bravo’s highest Test score of 218 came at the University Oval in Dunedin in 2013. A group of reserves will also travel to help prepare the Test Squad during the quarantine period and training camp as well as cover for injuries.

I agree Hope needs to do better but no way I am going to drop one of my best batsmen who can open, bat in the middle and wicketkeep and go with John Campbell with a highest score of 55,in nine tests. Is either our selectors are blind, drunk or crazy

Did Darren Bravo tell them he didn't want to be in the T20 team? He was one of the best batsmen in the CPL and I'm surprised he is not on the T20 team. Also I don't see the need for Cornwall on the test team since the wickets and conditions in New Zealand are no different from what we saw in England

Every selection committee do take gamble on certain players if they think that the said player has potential..... selection of Campbell might be that gamble ....as far as Hope is concerned he doesn't seem to have any technical issue....he had to redo his mental aspect vis-a-vis test cricket... Some of the players in reserve category might have deserve to be in the choosen 15 but then......at least they are in touring team albeit as reserves..

facting Fabian Allen and Rovman Powell again??
Aficionados what gives with these two?
Are they there to assist the groundsmen?
Do they possess magical intangibles???
So nice, I have to ask twice

Fabian Allen and Rovman Powell are two of the most talented young cricketers in the region, I hope that they will embarrass you.

I hope so too but they won't.
They're a bit too long in the tooth to be talking about "potential" don't you think?

Based on what slipperyfella? Produce the stats.
If one has STATS, then he moves from promise/potential to accomplished!

I have little expectations about this tour to NZ. I am really hoping that leaving out Shai Hope shakes him up for his good and he goes back to his hunger from the beginning.

DaSilva should have been in the main squad instead of John Campbell.

The fact that he retains his position is confirmation of how empty the cupboard is at the moment. Some folks are dying to drop Kraigg, but when you consider his eight test tons to date, he looks like Bradman compared to this lot. We are in bad shape.
