PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board president, Azim Bassarath has backed experienced left-hander Darren Bravo for the vacant post of vice-captain of the Test side.
With convenor of selectors Roger Harper confirming recently that no vice-captain had been chosen for the upcoming tour of New Zealand, Bassarth said the 31-year-old Bravo's experience would make him an excellent choice to fill the role.
I would support Darren Bravo as the vice-captain of the West Indies team, Bassarath told i95FM Sports.
Darren captained Trinidad and Tobago during the last regional four-day tournament and all of those who followed that tournament will know the excellent job Darren has done with Trinidad['s] team.

Bassarath touting Bravo for Vice Captain
In reply to Slipfeeler
Vice cappa then captain, nutten wrong widdat.
I agree with that, judging from the last FC season Bravo is an aggressive captain when it comes to field setting, very different to how Holder and Braithwaite operate.

I see nothing wrong with that, Bravo is one of the senior members of the team. My only concern would be hopefully that the responsibility will not affect his batting for we need him to bat for some long hours, building his innings and supporting the younger batsmen, if we are to produce competitive team batting scores in NZ.
Will send some to the madouse
Ummm....who was the most successful captain with a young bowling attack for the majority of the season and who won the tournamnet?

Not a bad idea at all.
One of the plusses would be that he wouldn't be able to pick and choose in which tour(s) he participates.
With Harper not designating a vice captain he could be sending a message to Braithwaite
